You’d be wrong. He didn’t play well . That TD pass was a bad throw to an open receiver who made a great catch. The defense won the game last night .

The defense won the game but they got breathing room because of the offense in the first half. Key 3rd down conversion also kept them off the field late. A FG drive put the game away. The throw was placed where it needed to be. Every pass isn't perfect.

So how many touchdowns does (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky have that count this year?

None. The receiver was open.

He had those two that he rushed for.

All of them count. You're acting like this is the first time you've ever seen someone evaluate the process rather than the results.

I don't think most quarterbacks get this level of scrutiny on it though. It's not like we are dissecting whether Andy Dalton is actually playing well or not.

Only (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Rodgers threw a 10 yard curl that Cobb took 80 yards and everyone raved about Rodgers. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky throws a touchdown and we complain that it could have been a better pass. Despite the pass rush, despite the timing being off and despite throwing on the run.

Rodgers has been getting beat up plenty this year for his play. Most QBs that play inconsistently are going to be scrutinized. The idea that Mitch is more heavily scrutinized than any other QB doesn't seem accurate.

Just as a frame of reference, the Vikings held Drew Brees to 120 yards passing on Oct 28th. They do have the ability to shut down a passing game.

Cousins was much worse than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky last night, It think we can all agree on that, correct?

I agree. He's a better QB that has experience and better weapons.

I scrolled through a good portion of Barnwells twitter as he became a guy you liked to cite. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky seems to be his #1 target by a good margin.

Do we do "Good Throws That Are Actually Bad Throws" film sessions for any of the QB's we think are unquestionably better than Mitch?

Rodgers', Brady's, Mahomes' and Goff's numbers are all taken at face value, but with Mitch we get "yeah that was a TD pass, but the receiver had to extend his arm to an inside angle of greater than 120 degrees, so you can't really count that one" or "that yardage was mostly after the catch" or "that was garbage time".

Cousins ended up with a better rating thanks to the soft prevent defense at the end, but (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was better.

Echoing my earlier post.

I imagine the hometown fans wring their hands and nitpick their QBs. Right?

Played well in the first half but I would have liked 1 more touchdown. Didn't play well in the 2nd half but made some important plays late in the game.

Rodgers numbers aren't taken at face value. He's been much worse than his numbers indicate this year. I've said as much on here, and Packer beat reporters are not shy about pointing it out on the Mondays after games either. I'm sure there are fanboy national writers who still act like he can do no wrong, but that's about it.

Not sure Mahomes has done much to pick apart. Chiefs have faced the third toughest schedule of defenses so far in the league - if anything his numbers could/should be better.

It will be interesting to see how much heat Mahomes takes for 5 turnovers last night.

He played well enough for the team to win and had big moments during the drives the team scored on. I thought he played relatively well all things considered. We need to see him face adversity and play in some close games, it’s all part of his development. He didn’t shut down or lose confidence after making mistakes against one of the leagues best defenses (despite what the rankings say). And he went out after those mistakes and made plays.

Even great QB’s have to grind out games once in a while, shit Big Ben did just that on Sunday himself. He played terrible most of the game until late and then took over with a nice drive.

I disagree Mitch played poorly. He was up against a defense that can stall out any offense in the league when they’re on. And they were on Sunday night and Mitch still made plays against them.

Mitch is doing fine and coming along.

Not a damned one. Every time he throws a pass he inevitably has to rely on someone else to bail him out by catching it.

This kind of downplaying of a 5-turnover game from Mitch would absolutely not be allowed.

It would be tough to hide in a game where he threw 6 and put up 51 points.

"Bears lost to the Rams by the score of 54-51. Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky had 5 turnovers in the game."

Bears lose a heartbreaker by 3. Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky turned the ball over 5 times."
