I like. When it is successful it puts added pressure on the opposing offense to try to convert on our defense.

I love it. Nagy is a great coach. Even Rick must be starting to come around despite not wanting an offense like the Chiefs for the Bears

He's clearly the best coach in the division and he's still learning.

I'm as excited about Nagy as the next guy, but I don't know if he's clearly the best coach in the division. That Zimmer guy has done pretty well for himself in the Twin Cities.

Also, the Bears lost two games this year (Packers) and (Dolphins) that it's pretty fair to say were examples of games that a great head coach would not be on the losing end of. He's still a first year HC, and yeah, still learning, which is exciting, but let's allow him to keep growing and developing before we give him a lifetime contract. 5 of the Bears 7 wins have come against the Cardinals, Jets, Bills, Bucs, and Lions. They haven't been slaying division leaders or anything.

That said, go Bears and go Nagy.

The first time, the team was playing so good I called it a heatcheck when nagy went for it. I believe that was the biggest reason he tried. The second time was a dick punch. He was just showing the Vikings the finger.

I think we were saying the same thing about Trestman at 5-3

I am very happy so far but there are some concerning similarities to Andy Reid with him. That's still a lot better than the past few coaches though.

He does shit that reminds me of Belicheat more than he reminds me of Andy Reid. Throwing random defenders out there on offensive plays, going for 2 point conversions right away, running the ‘T’ formation lol.. he fucks around with stuff like the Pats do. It’s hilarious to me but it shows how unpredictable and creative he is.

I don’t disagree but don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. I can’t name 5 head coaches Id rather have right now than Nagy.

Completely agree. He likes to toy with and embarrass his opponents.

I don’t think he wants to toy with or embarrass them -I think it’s a combination of learning a lesson in his 1st game during the Packers comeback and wanting to put a lot of things on film for opponents to have to worry about.

I also think he legit wants to test certain ideas out in live game scenarios. It’s Billy B 101 imo. Obviously there are parallels to Reid as well.. but I see some Patriots in him too. And that’s a great combination really.

He still has that Andy Reid characteristic of not being able to run the ball when he needs to and not being able to close out opponents (which go hand in hand)

Nonsense. He got the needed FG to close out the Vikings in the biggest game of their season to date.

yes, he didn't lose

A game they dominated came down to an onside kick.

No it didn't. The game was decided after that FG.

I think that is premature. The league catches up to coaches just like it does other players. Even Doug Pederson looks a lot worse this year than he did last year.

A lot of people are saying that Frank Reich was the brains behind the offense.

I don't think he does. His secondary is currently made up of non-NFL caliber players, and other injuries like Lane Johnson, Ajayi, and Wentz missing all of camp, preseason, and the first few weeks have made this a classic hangover season. 25+ teams would gladly have him as their head coach still.

Going for two should generally be the play, much like going for it on 4th and 1 or 2 in most game situations with the way the rules are so tilted towards the offense these days.

I think that I agree with this. Ever since they moved the extra point back, extra points are no longer automatic, so when you think about it. Making half of your two point conversions may be better than making it up to your kicker.

Anyone know the rule on a pre-play penalty on a go for two situation? Say you get a false start -- can you then switch to a XP attempt (five yards back from the normal spot)?

They can switch to XP from five yards back if they chose.
