New Orleans has a VASTLY better offense and tackles than can handle Mack. NO is the one team the Bears can’t beat imo.

No one can handle Mack.

Nonsense. The best OTs in the league can hold their own against him.

Lol. Maybe 2 of them. But then theres hicks!

Yes, the Bears have a great d line and are great at getting pressure. NO has a great o line and is great at protecting Brees, who in turn is great at releasing the ball very quickly. It’s possible the Bears would win that matchup but it’s very far from certain and it’s crazy to suggest it’s a matchup advtange for the Bears.

Hold their own is different from handle.

The Saints offense won't get better. The Bears defense and offense are likely to take steps over the final 6 weeks.

Ok. I wasn't trying to argue semantics. The Saints offense would be fine, even against the Bears. Mitch and company would need to keep up.

How they play against the Rams will be a big test

Yeah... about that. You do know that will be Bears +8 right?

At soldier Field? If both teams keep playing like they have I would think more like +3

You know what I'm saying. Brees has a million years of experience and nearly every key player has multiple years of experience in this offense. The Bears are still learning the offense. Mack and Roquan are still learning the defense.

Kamara is in his 2nd year, and Trequan Smith is a rookie. Also, the bears being so young isn't an indication they will prove over the next 8 weeks. It likely means the inconsistency will continue.

It's too early to write the Bears off as title contenders or to even handicap the Rams game. Who knows who will be healthy or how the teams will look by that game.

That's why we're talking about how they look now.

There is no way that game would be at 8 points in Soldier Field now. That's ridiculous.

Completely ignoring that the Saints defense has made major strides in the last three weeks without their d line first-round draft pick and are still incorporating a new corner is unbecoming of you.

Detroit is good at home. I think they pull the upset in a sloppy game. 17-13.

Provided they execute and don't turn the ball over, the Bears are still good enough to beat the Lions with Chase Daniel as QB on Thursday.

Are the Bears due for a dud?

They should get past the Lions and Giants. If they do get past them, they have the huge game against the Rams. That game will be the true litmus test for this team. Best D vs Best O...something's gotta give!

Closing out this stretch with 3 division victories will be huge. Mitch needs to show that he can play well on the road too. Bears win 28-17

If he's not fine, this season is over. They'd still probably limp in for a one and done playoff appearance.

A good division team dominated the second place team for most of the game.

Article on the Mitch injury. I think Chase would be very good in Nagy's offense. Especially in a dome. I think it would be against elite competition, and in poor weather that his shortcomings would be obvious.
