The persecution complex is strong with Mitch supporters.

It's the reality of how he's covered. Has anyone else thrown 6 touchdowns against the Bucs this season? Didn't Brees lose to them? That doesn't matter.

So his inability to go through his progressions and penchant to tuck it and run now has him injured eh? Well there are old quarterbacks , quarterbacks who are bold and run but there aren't any old, bold, running quarterbacks.

Look no further than this FF. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky gets cheap shotted by the Vikings while helping the Bears win and it's his fault. He can't win with some "fans".

His running wasn't about going through his progressions. It was about avoiding a sack and getting a first down. That first down is one of the reasons that the Bears were able to kick a game deciding FG. Don't let your unreasonable (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky hate get in the way of facts.

Brees is 9-1 with a 28-1 TD/INT ratio and he's the leading MVP candidate. Putting together arguably the most impressive QB season in history currently, even considering the era and rules. Mahomes has thrown 6 TDs twice this year, both against better defenses than Tampa. I'm not sure what your point is. Mitch's performance is not equal to those two, so it stands to reason criticism would not be equal either.

Not only did Brees not throw 6 touchdowns against Tampa Bay he lost to them. Keep dismissing everything good (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky does.

I'm not dismissing everything good (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky does. I was answering your question as to why Brees and Mahomes aren't criticized as often as Mitch.

That wasn't my point. I was saying that his performance against the Bucs was immediately dismissed because he did it against the Bucs. Keep in mind that no one else has had a better performance before or since then

I think your last sentence is debatable, some of the top QB performances this year are on par with what Mitch did. But the obvious answer as to why people dismissed that performance was because it was such a ridiculous anomaly when compared to his previous 12 or whatever starts to his career. Now that he has followed that up with several very good performances I think people understand Mitch has talent and is capable of reproducing those type of games. Still, he is showing a lot more inconsistency and flaws than guys like Goff and Mahomes are, which is why he is criticized more often than those two are.

So you now seem to be arguing that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is rightfully nitpicked a lot more than many other quarterbacks. That's progress.

Lol.

Yes, I am stating the very obvious fact that QBs who play worse than other QBs get more criticism for it.

But (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is playing as good or better than many quarterbacks who aren't getting anywhere near the criticism like Stafford, Cousins, and Dalton.

Just not true. All three of those QBs have gotten criticism this year relative to their performance. You're looking at this from a too Chicago-centric perspective.

He's playing better than MANY 2nd year QB's have played and most of them were praised for their improvements. Why is (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky the exception?

Ok, name a writer who has gone as hard on them as Barnwell has gone on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

Why argue with this dolt? He is a Packer fan who likes to hear himself bloviate and is sad to watch his team go into the toilet. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a young 2nd year quarterback who is learning and doing fine at his job. His upside is great. He doesn't have the great offensive line that Brees has nor the running game talent that NO has. I think he is absolutely the equal of Goff over-all and will prove it when they play the Rams. He also does not have the receiver and RB talent that Mahomes has. What he does have is a much better defensive team with the Bears than any other contender. We will see what happens when the rubber meets the road and the best defense in the NFL and a good offense takes on these "elite" offensive teams.

Because these guys are fans of other teams and can't stand it that the Bears are kicking their team's respective asses is why.

Mitch is probably the only Bear QB ever universally owned in fantasy football. That means nothing but is indicative of something.
