I didn’t call him a bust tho. I just didn’t ageee with how good you said he was -I believe you said he was a ‘great’ player. And that was inaccurate then, and now.


To be fair, I am getting ready to call him a bust.. But I’m not there yet.


Funny thing is I’m on record already calling myself out here for liking him at the time we picked him. Not a good call so far by the Bears or by me. You win some, you lose some.

I don’t believe I called him great ever. If I did it was obviously a dumb hyperbolic comment and I’d like to hope the time stamp of the post was at least after midnight.

I’ve always thought it was a fine pick and thought he showed flashes of becoming a really good player. Currently he’s a good player, not worthy of his draft spot, but he would be a starter or very significant contributer on every defense in the NFL.

Floyd was a top 10 pick and he's "just a guy" right now on this defense. so in that regard, he's sort of a bust... If he was a true wrecking ball OLB, packaged with Mack, the Bears might have the best defense of all time right now. Of course if Floyd was better, perhaps the Bears never sense the urgency and trade for Mack?

No he isn’t. You’re just looking at sack numbers and judging things off that. There’s not a team in the NFL he wouldn’t get major snaps for.
