WAUKEGAN – A Lakemoor woman who used to work at Camp Duncan YMCA was arrested on charges alleging that she stole between $10,000 and $100,000 from the Ingleside youth camp.

Laura Weber, 38, was released from Lake County custody Thursday on a $100,000 recognizance bond after she was taken into custody late Wednesday at her home at 416 Willow Road in Lakemoor.
Weber worked as business manager at Camp Duncan from November 2005 to November 2006. Police said a forensic audit of the camp’s books from during that time indicated that more than $50,000 was missing.

Lake County Deputy Chief Kevin Parker said Weber admitted to Lake County authorities to taking more than $22,000 from Camp Duncan while she worked there.

A year and a half ago, our Village President was under fire from Trustee Nick Weber. He accused her of giving village construction contracts to a friend, stealing village petty cash money and a few other embezzeling charges. Lakemoor paid $40,000 for a forensic audit of the books at the urging of the board, at the time the charge was led by Nick Weber.
I spoke to him after the townhall meeting. He called her a C. U. Next Tuesday, and called her a theif and a liar.
Now, his wife is being charged with stealing up to $100,000
How do you not know your spouse is stealing that kind of money?

It wouldn't be too hard to hide such a thing. But, couldn't they get a LITTLE more specific on the amount taken? That's a pretty big range...

Clemens didn't find out for a while that his wife was taking steroids and/or HGH...

If you're username is "Chris_in_Joliet" you wouldn't have a clue.

Now both the Trustee for Lakemoor and his wife are being charged with domestic battery as they've beaten each other (with their hands). Nick, the asshat trustee, looks stunning in an orange jumpsuit. DOUCHEBAGS!

And now, for her third arrest in 12 months, once again, I present to you...
Laura Weber. They have 10 and 4 year old girls. Bloody losers.

LAKEMOOR – The wife of a Lakemoor village trustee has been charged with domestic battery for the second time in less than a year.

Charges were dropped against 39-year-old Laura Weber, who police said had an argument with her husband, Nick Weber, in June during which the couple hit each other with their hands.

Charges against Nick Weber for the incident were also dropped after prosecutors cited a Fifth Amendment issue, where the Webers would have incriminated themselves by testifying against each other.

But police were called to their home at 416 N. Willow Road again Tuesday about 10:44 p.m. after Laura Weber threw a suitcase or type of bag at her husband, said Sheriff Keith Nygren.

She was charged with domestic battery and resisting a police officer.

Nick Weber suffered a bloody nose, but was not transported to the hospital, Nygren said.

In October, Laura Weber pleaded guilty to theft charges in Lake County court and is paying restitution after authorities said she took at least $10,000 from YMCA Camp Duncan in Ingleside.

Nick Weber's term expires in May, and Laura Weber has served on the village's Parks and Recreation Advisory Board since September 2006. Her appointment to the board expires in 2010.

Laura Weber posted $350 bond. Her next court date is scheduled for April 16.

Wait, after the theft and all the rest, she wasn't kicked out of her position? I know the battery issues aren't a reason to fire her, but I would have thought that embezzling that much money might earn you a ticket out.
