Get well soon, Coach!

https://wgntv.com/2018/11/23/bears-lege ... rt-attack/

NAPLES, Fla. — Legendary Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka is recovering in a Florida hospital after suffering a heart attack earlier this week.

Sources tell WGN he was playing golf Wednesday before he was hospitalized. He is now doing better and is expected to be home in three or four days for rehab.

Ditka, who turned 79 in October, has had heart trouble in the past. He famously returned to work 11 days after suffering a heart attack while coaching in 1988.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Hopefully Da Coach's new pacemaker keeps him with us for a long long time.

That machine will have a difficult time keeping pace with Coach, my friend.

Hard to believe he'll be turning 80 next year.

Yeah it is. One of my favorite Bear's players of all time. Tough as hell and had a great ability to run over people who tried to tackle him. Also a terrific blocker. I remember Ditka making something like 5-6 separate blocks on a Johnny Morris touchdown run.

Best of luck to a speedy recovery, Coach!

https://wgntv.com/2018/11/26/mike-ditka ... al-report/

"Hall of Fame tight end and former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka has been released from a hospital after being treated for a mild heart attack last week.

Steve Mandell, Ditka’s agent, confirmed a report by the Chicago Sun-Times that the former coach was sent home. He tells The Associated Press Ditka “is doing better.”

The 79-year-old Ditka coached the Bears and the New Orleans Saints, finishing with a 121-95 record in 14 years, and he led Chicago to the Super Bowl title after the 1985 season.

Ditka also played 12 seasons in the NFL and made the Pro Bowl five times. He finished with 427 receptions for 5,812 yards and 43 touchdowns."
