Yes. I'm taking the wife. She's never seen them. I saw them on the Steel Wheels tour in St. Louis in 89.

Last Saturday I watched my middle son receive his diploma, earning a BS in Computer Science, Summa cum Laude. He's already finished four classes for his Master's, and will complete that degree a year from now. Has a job offer contingent on said MS, and is there working for them over Christmas break.

In a shocking sidebar, I discovered that Furious Styles has found gainful employment later in his career...

I don't think that type of humor is acceptable any more

Little Crest looking good on the news last night singing Christmas Carols while bringing a positive vibe to the forsaken neighborhood of Sauganash.

Scored three nice hats (Bears, Hawks & Cubs) off clearance at Wrigleyville Sports for under $50.

Merry Christmas to me via a $50 Gift Card from my in laws.

Going to get Sox and Bulls hats when the other gift card arrives.

Every now and then us dads need to take a victory lap - Especially when everything we do is for the family.

After my dad passed, my mother gave me his watch which ironically had stopped working correctly just before he died. I took it to a local watch guy and
just picked it up on my lunch break. I don't have a whole lot from either my brother or dad that was passed down but I now have an extremely nice
watch from each. My brothers I generally wear on special occasions and I will try to make my dad's a daily wearer or semi-daily anyway. Each needs
to be wound up so I guess that gives me 15 seconds to give them some thought while I keep the watches going.

That's pretty cool T-Bone.

How were you able to get a valuable sentimental item repaired though without first starting a CFMB thread letting everyone know you had said item?

After only being able to eat clear liquids for the last two months and losing over 35 pounds due to pancreatitis, I was given the go-ahead to eat solid food today for the first time. Obviously, I can't go crazy right away, but I am going to dominate some semi-unhealthy food followed by a chocolate shake tonight. I haven't been this excited since they announced syndication of Everybody Loves Raymond.

Cool I didn’t realize pancreatitis stops eating. What a pain. How much weight you lose?
Edit: sorry I knew I read 35 pounds and blanked.

I was still getting around 2k calories a day through a feeding bag/pump. All I could eat was chicken or beef bouillon, italian ice, jello, and a few drinks... mainly clear. And coffee. Drank a shitload of coffee just for something to do.

Too much caffeine is bad for your health.
