Got a call from my son today.

He usually comes out here for Xmas season.

But this year, he has tickets for the Bears @ 49ers on 12/23.

He asked me to fly out to him this time and go see the game.

Flight's like $700 at the moment.

Worth it to see this team?

I have to make a decision by Wednesday.

What would you recommend?

I voted "no" before I read the post. (I generally always say to no to going to a sporting event.) But in the case of seeing the game with your son, you should absolutely go especially if the only thing holding you back is money. $700 is a small price to pay for spending quality time with your son.
