Yes, I know it is teppanyaki.

That out of the way, anybody know a good hibachi restaurant? The one we always went to closed. I hope it was a financial decision and not because we were eating rat meat. I have chosen not to look into it.

Suggestions?

Tsukasa in Vernon Hills is the best one I've been to...their sushi is also fantastic. I really only do the hibachi tables when I have the kids...otherwise I sit at the bar and gorge on sushi.

My kids love hibachi.

I like it - particularly the fresh fried rice. I don't know what those seasonings are but, at least the place we went to, it was fantastic.

I think we are doing sushi anyway but I would like to know a good place for the future.

I've heard good things about Shinto in Naperville.

Teppan-yaki Miyachi in Tokyo is quite good... about $80 a person but worth it.

We ended up at Shinto. Big place. It was pretty good. I didn't like the corn in the rice. Seemed weird.

But the Chateaubriand steak was very tender and properly cooked. The lobster also had very good flavor. The family enjoyed the sushi.

We will probably go back.

We love this place.

Have you tried Hanakawa in Libertyville? We have yet to go there.

For Sushi we always go to Kona Grill in Lincolnshire. It's the wife's favorite.
