The great thing about this compared to the last super bowl team is that this feels sustainable, not a mirage based on lucky bounces and favorable scheduling. There is not a single other team I fear in the league. Saints in NO is a daunting task but put them on a neutral field and I feel the Bear win.

GD, you are 100 percent right. I was too young to remember the '85 Bears I just remember doing the Superbowl shuffle with my Dad almost every day. The 2006 Bears were very very lucky and had so many things go their way until the Superbowl. This team is so damn likable I mean there's not one asshole on the team (even (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky - look at his Ditka costume and his Bears light up sweaters the guy gets it), they are good, they know it but they are a TEAM. Nagy has these guys believing and Mack has been a great leader and locker room presence, everyone has stepped their game up this year.

They are young and it doesn't just feel damn good this year but the next 5 years of relevant football in Chicago is something that really none of us could say 4 months ago.

Well put. Although it takes a LOT to keep a good football team good, it seems to me that the ingredients are there for being sustainable. They have a good young quarterback and a good young coach and a pretty young team over-all. They also are in good position money wise for plans down the road.

All true Bear's fans naturally hope for a Super Bowl every year and I am no exception. But these many years of having a really bad Bear's team have been awful and it is just great having a team that can beat anyone and have a good time watching the game.
