I think that the Rams will kick the crap out of them but no other team scares me.

The Rams will be a great test for the defense. The Saints plowed through the Rams D in the first half. The Bears don't have that kind of offensive fire power. Yeah the Bears probably shit in their pants that game, but who knows.

Bears have that type of firepower -- actually have more firepower than the Saints. It's just that Mitch isn't Brees, but he weapons are there. Bears will be able to score on the Rams. The question is whether the Bears can stop Gurley. If Mack is healthy, they will win that game.

BC, Nas and I hope you are correct. We are bullish on this group, but I think we are trying to be realistic too. The other thing we don't know is what the injury situation will be. The Bears were down three of their best players against the Bills.

Mack might come back and be ineffective ala the Patriots game. Or he might get re-injured. Or he might be a beast.

They need to pound Detroit for me to really buy into this team. Detroit is a team you need to put out to pasture. Detroit is average. If the Bears are good, then show it against Detroit.

Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara are worlds better than any skill position player on the Bears. It's ridiculous to pretend the Bears have more firepower.

I am struggling with a grade of "B" given the coaching for the Packers game and the dolphins game.....especially the Dolphins game.

They hired an offensive coach and their offense went from 29th in PPG to 5th so far. I don't know how that gets anything lower than an A-

A team that MANY expected to barely win 5 games are in first place af the halfway point. You have a little hope for the future too. I think you have to give Nagy credit for that.

I'm wondering if I demand my Nagy apology from Rick now or wait a little longer.

I think the RB grade at C is low, but that has to do with the play calling. When they don't get cute and run between the tackles, it actually works...

I'll redo these ratings after the season for the playoffs but I gotta say big improvements in RB, OL, TE since we did this thread
