Bears will definitely advance to the NFC Championship Game and have a shot at winning it. If they make it to the Super Bowl, they will beat whoever comes out of the bloated AFC.

Defense is legit. But the offense? Wooof. Pace needs to get a QB before the defense ages/prices out.

You’re trying way too hard. This is what happens when your lack of knowledge is combined with the painful emotions of a season lost.

Do you see the young, under contract defense that whooped your QB's ass twice this year?

Once. Rodgers whooped the Bears ass in Week 1.

He's lost a step, he's injury prone, terrible teammate, terrible person and he doesn't appear to care anymore. Advantage Bears

Yes Frank, I already stated the defense this year is legit. The issue is the QB is bad.

You also said mentioned the defense "aging" and "pricing out" more than once.

MANY players are under contract for a while, and all of them are under 30 years of age.

I said a QB needs to be found before the defense ages/prices out. There is no such thing as "a while" in the NFL.

Frank going with the bold assumption the Bears defensive players won't age and won't want/need new contracts when their current ones are up. I like it.

Also forgotten, is that the Packers MADE the Bears match the offer for Kyle Fuller.

I'm not convinced that they spend that if Fuller got the same offer from the Chiefs.

There were numerous times when it seemed like (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky had eyes in the back of his head. How did he know they were on his ass?

Two options:

A. The Packers are a bunch of mouth-breathers
B. Mitch is pretty good

I really thought that one was going to be a disaster for us over the next four seasons. I wouldn't say it is a steal because it is market rate but Fuller has certainly played to that contract.

Is it safe to call yesterday a solid (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky game? You won't be blown away by the box score.

I think it has to be.

71% completion with 2TDs and 0 INT.

He was fine but he needs to be better if he is your long time answer at QB. They rank 22nd on the NFL in ypg.

Of course they matter in W/L, but if you think (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky’s stats reflect a guy you can bank on then I think it’s wishful thinking to this point. The D is great which leads to a lot of points. See Jim McMahon for reference.

I'm not a blind (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky believer. Yards can be an empty stat is all I'm saying.

If he ends up being Jim McMahon without the Charles Martin injury I'll be happy.

Yep. There were a couple really good illustrations in the game yesterday where (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky felt the pressure and escaped and not only did that but escaped for a very good gain. Clearly (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky just has some stupid "fans" around that just do not know what good quarterbacks are.

"Wishful Thinking"? The guy has less than a full years pro experience in him along with a limited college experience and yet guys like this bloke says that there is no indication of an upside. So I guess, the Bears need to cut Mitch and get another quarterback. I guess these are the same kinds of guys who recommended that Chase Daniels as the better bet eh? Remember that CRAP on this board? I do.

I find this negativity about Mitch to be pathetic and misplaced. Perhaps these folks would only accept Mahomes as a young qb. Or maybe they wouldn't accept him either because he is too young. WHo then. Can accept Brady, right? Too old. Can't accept Brees, right? Too old. Can't accept, Rodgers, right? Coach killer, right?

So, all you wussies, Who would you accept as your new Bear's qb? I hear that Kraperneck needs a job. Perhaps it will make you happy?

For most of the year he had top 10 stats pretty much across the board. I'm not worried about his stats. I want to see more consistency so I can have faith in him in big moments.

A lot of bad points in this post. People simply recognize Trubinsky is a poor QB who has an excellent HC/OC scheming away his liabilities. The excellent defense also hides a lot of poor play by Trubinsky. It's better to recognize a deficiency and improve before you've married yourself to a bad idea (Jags/Bortles)

The Bears defense hasn't been lights out all season. Regardless of scheme every quarterback still has to make the plays. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's play has helped the team win games. He isn't Kyle Orton in 2005. Acknowledging that he needs to get better doesn't mean his contributions to the teams success should be diminished.

Before I can call the points good or bad I need to first find out where the points are.

His first point was that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has less than a year of experience...after he’s started 24 games. Downhill from there.
