Teams kill for a decent WR and Pitt has not only one but two. Connor was a beast. The D is not great but good enough. This team should be mentioned in the same breath as KC and NE and they end up with eight wins and an early vacation. I put a question mark in the title because this is the first time in three or four years that Pitt is out of the playoffs but it's an extremely disappointing conclusion. Too much talent to only grab eight wins this year. Rip to all that wasted talent.

Connor missed 3 games.

They are in the playoffs with a tie tonight.

I think it happens.

They are still sacked. The rookie did fine in Connor's absence. No excuse losing to the Raiders (?) and the Broncos. Disappointing.

No. Marvin Lewis still has a job. Tomlin should have lifetime job security based on that.

They're not in because their kicker sucks and Ben threw two terrible picks this year.

8 wins and possibly four pro bowlers on offense.

Bad year. Never had a losing season and has them in the playoffs in 8 of 12 years.

And their formerly best player sidelined stupidly all season

To be fair to Tomlin it seems they didn't skip a beat without Bell until they lost to two of the worst teams in the league during the second half of the season. On the other hand it also shows how stacked they are - that they could absorb the loss of someone like Bell. You take Zeke out for a year and Dallas goes 0-16.

Yes. Please fire Tomlin so he can end up in GB. Him or Fangio are at the top of my wish list.

I don’t think Tomlin is the reason for this year. He is not however a great coach. He is a manager and team leader for sure though. He can only be as good as his players.

You would regret that. Oh wait you want a coach to let the QB do whatever he wants so yeah.

His players on offense are spectacular. The defense is serviceable.

It probably is more germane to have FavreFan make a list of guys he doesn't want to come coach the Packers. He has been all over the map with names from John Harbaugh to Lincoln Reilly to Ted Marchabroda.

Undisciplined though to some small degree. Brown did not play today. They pass too much. Ben has his highest passing yards of his career.

The defense generally seemed to get better as the season moved into November, the offense blew up the team concept as soon as Pouncey and DeCastro foolishly started talking publicly.

The QB is old and kind of rapy and the defense kind of sucks. Tomlin will be back.

Yep. Team chemistry was a problem. Ben needed to lead.

I see there are a couple usual suspects that want to pose as Steelers experts. Okay I’ll watch.

Why would Fangio be at the top of your list? I thought you wanted a guy like Nagy or McVey to get the most out of Rodgers in his last few years?

This team has only had 3 coaches since 1969. Tomlin has been there for 12 years and never had a losing season. Hard to see him fired.

If this post added a few grammatical errors or words in all caps I'd swear it was typed by Bigfan.
