Even with a dominant defense, which I agree we have, I don't think it's unreasonable to say the Bears may find themselves trailing, say, 6-10 in the fourth in LA or in NO. That's what I meant about (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky needing to lead the Bears to victory at some point. He's done it in the regular season at different times to Nas' point, but the playoffs is a totally different ball game. Anyway, let's hope it doesn't come to that. The Bears should smoke the Eagles and that weak-ass team next week.

Yes on all counts.

My two earliest Bear memories are the NFL Today doing Payton highlights to the Bond theme "Nobody Does it Better" and that Thomas FG to put the Bears in the playoffs.

I remember thinking, "this playoff thing is cool - I'm glad my team is this good". And then two years later they made it again and I thought this is just a regular thing the Bears do.

As I got into my teens, I realized I was incorrect in my original assumption and then Todd Bell sent Joe Washington into a parallel dimension.

The Eagles frighten me a bit.

Foles will play and he's played well. Eagles don't have a running game and that's good. But they can score and they play fast and that gives the Bears defense trouble.

It's the Big Boys now. Everybody should scare you but there's no team that I think the Bears can't defeat.

I'd put the Bears in the top 3 teams to win this. Limited a bit by their need to play an extra game.

I don't think an AFC team wins the Super Bowl.

I think the Bears offense matches up well against them and I think the Bears defense can cause some problems for Foles. Especially considering they don't have a running game. Keep in mind the Eagles played at home last year.

I don't remember half the time if I'm hiding or I'm lost

I have very vague memories of pre Ditka (as coach) Bears. Mostly my dad calling them a bunch of bums and then Ditka being hired and my dad calling them a bunch of bums. I’m not sure how much I watched those games or if it was more a matter of a one tv home and that was what was on on Sundays in winter.

We all know how this plays out.

We did what appeared to be the "right" thing by keeping our foot on the gas till the last game. But in doing so, we eliminated a bunch of bums and pitted ourselves against one of the hottest teams in the NFL.

There will be a freak play early, such as a Cohen muffed punt, and Philly will take the lead. Our offense will need to respond but will instead fold under the pressure with a barrage of 3-and-outs, tiring the defense and allowing Foles to have enough success to put up respectable drives that lead to points while our offense sputters. We get desperate late and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky starts throwing picks while we all look on in stunned silence, eventually losing 27 - 16.

We will always wonder what might have been if we had just lost to Minnesota.

I've had my heart broken too many times.

This Bears offense didn't have many 3 and outs with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky as the quarterback. I'm confident they won the time of possession battle damn near every game he started. That keeps the defense fresh. He's also a better QB at home and Philadelphia doesn't have a great defense.
