Lock him up before ASAP. He has all of the ingredients of a great coach and he's still learning. He also knows how to communicate with the press.

He already has a 5 year contract, and coaches almost never leave on their own will at the end of a contract.

Boston gave Stevens an 8 year deal because they understood that they got a guy who would be one of the best players in the league. Throwing Nagy a little extra money now could become a bargain in a couple of years.

He's going to need more than one.

In the NFL coaches just don't leave. I'm not even sure who the last person was that let their contract play out and went to another team right away that wasn't in effect fired.

Let's wait until he at least matches Lovie's record of work

Why? They have him for five years, and we've only seen one season out of him. He also has the benefit of a completely dominant defense and very experienced D coordinator. Let's pump the brakes here. Coaches often get let go not because they are bad but because the franchise simply needs a new direction and fresh start. The only coach in football who has defied that rule is Belichick. Five years is a long time away.

Should be giving Fangio a raise and extension.

He will get it when he has options in the off season but I wouldn't be afraid to hand things off to Ed Donatell

Bears need to ensure consistency at that position. Need to create a Steelers situation where your DC is there for 20 years (not that he will be at his age, but you get the point).

Theres absolutely no reason for this extension now. Let's see how he does against the AFC west and NFC east next season.
