All of us would have been satisfied with the Bears making the playoffs this year but now I think that it's okay to get greedy. The Bears defense needs to find a way to shutdown Jeffrey and the Eagles offense and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky needs to step up and do enough for the Bears to move on. Bears win 27-17

I think this will be a national coming out party for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. The eagle secondary is bad and there should be receivers open all day. The weather sounds like it will be good for throwing. It should be a game of pitch and catch for Mitch.

Eagles are a one dimensional o. Pass rushers should be prepared to attack the qb. Eagles do have a pretty good o line and will use screens to cut down on the rush as well. O don’t think they can beat us on the outside so they will be looking for ertz, Goddert and sproles all day. MLB need to have a day

Bears 31
Eagles 17

I don't see how the offense scores more than 17 points in any game this postseason unless the D gives them short fields on a regular basis.

20-17 Bears

Eagles have zero running game and despite some big names on the online they have given up as many sacks as the Vikings this year. Their defense is a sieve outside of Fletcher Cocks so as long as the Bears handle him like Donald they will be fine. There is no way on God's green earth the Bears should lose this game unless the playoff inexperience of Mitch/Nagy rears it's ugly head. I hope the fans throw batteries at Alson Jeffries

Bears 28
Eagles 6

Bears shut down Foles and the running game. Jefferey will be a non-factor, they'll try to get the ball to Ertz, I don't expect them to get much. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky throws for 3 TDs, Cohen will go full joystick mode. Nagy goes for 2 all game.

Bears - 29
Eagles - 13

The last time the Bears were 12-4 was 1988.

They won their first-round playoff game 20-12.

Against the Eagles.

Not sure if there will be fog in Philly.

Foles will play, but those bruised ribs are bound to affect his game.

Bears look playoff-ready. Bears 23-14.

I wanted to rest up and steamroll the vikes, these guys are more dangerous imo. Our D is still capable of tearing up anybody..that said.

Bears 20
Philly 16

Just hope Parky plays no role in this tough NFC game. He sucks

Weather no factor on Sunday, light winds 44 degrees. Bears a 5-1/2 pt favorite. Philly has won 6 of 7 including recently the Texans and @ the Rams.
Eagles in an upset. They've been here before, the young Bears haven't.

ImageTim Weigal : Now let's go to Brad Palmer with analysis on the upcoming Bears playoff game. Brad....

Image Brad Palmer : Thanks Tim

We have the super bowl champions coming into Chicago to battle the surprising 12-4 Chicago Bears.

Now remember Tim, this Eagles team not just won the superbowl last year, they beat Tom Brady and Bill Bellicheck to win the superbowl.

The big question mark for the Eagles will be their QB NIck Foles. Will he be effective with his bruised ribs? Here's my prediction -

If Foles is healthy and plays a significant number of snaps,

Eagles 17
Bears 14

Parkey will miss at least 1 Field Goal.

If Foles cannot play and the Eagles have to depend on their backup, not Wentz, then I predict

Eagles 3
Bears 14

Parkey will miss at least 1 Field Goal.

There you have it Tim. Brad Palmer, Channel 7, Eyewitness News.

Foles should be healthy, I think Mack or Hicks gets him goodby the 3rd quarter and knocks him out.

I don't think that Foles will last the game. He's a decent qb if he gets time but he won't have time and will throw some picks in the game.

Bears: 31

Birdies: 13

We nearly beat Tom Brady when his team was at full-strength this season, and we would have easily won that game if it were the same team with a different coach and/or QB.

Every single one of our four losses were extremely winnable, and all such games were decided by one score.

We smashed and flustered Aaron Rodgers both times we played him this year, and he was only able to beat us in the very first game, before our young defenders had found their place in the league, and before they had learned to adapt to the no-huddle offense (which has been the only thing that has been effective against them this season).

I don't see it as being a close game no matter who starts at or plays QB for the Eagles.

It is one thing taking on a top-ranked defense, but it is entirely another thing taking on one so young, strong, fast, and well-coached like this one.

I can honestly say that I think this defense is far better than the Ravens D of 2000, and you see what they did with Trent Dilfer heading their Offense.

Having Kyle Long back is huge. He will bore holes through the line for Howard and Mizell, and Cohen will dice-up that secondary.

Bears 29, Eagles 13.

Their only TD will be the result of a defensive play or the fortuitous field position derived therefrom.

The Bears were good enough to beat Minnesota, but not dominant. The play calling in the 2nd half could have been better. It put everyone to sleep.

But when you're playing your first playoff game at Soldier Field in nine years, home field advantage is going to be huge. Cornelison doing the National Anthem with the Air Force fly by, can't wait. The Bears should be a touchdown favorite for being at home, and even more so because of their record. I think the Bears win by at least 10, Nick Foles or not.

Bears 27 - Eagles 13

Put the kool-aid down, Jeffro. Nobody objectively picks Parkey to miss only one kick in a game.

24-10. I think Nagy has been tuning the team the last few weeks for the playoffs. I expect a ground game and short passing and they are going to methodically take teams apart. The last drive against the Vikings was a slow steady death march for the Vikings. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is going to play conservatively and keep the game in front.

Ironically, the bears game plan against the Vikings is how you challenge the bears. Just delete the idea of the downfield pass from the playbook. Run, short pass and wear down the pass rush. Don’t get your QB killed and be patient.

13 seems about right for the Eagles. Points given up the last four games 6, 17, 9, 10.

Bears 24
Eagles 13
