Many times narratives are wrong from the get-go so it's kind of irrelevant, right? Narratives get started in weird places, sometimes by agents who are pushing for their clients.

That is so far above my pay grade...what can I say aside from the Cubs will be on TV every day from here on out. Where that is and how people can find it is stuff for other really smart people to figure out. And I trust they will!

Yes Joe will manage the Cubs in 2019. I don't EXPECT any big trades/huge FA signings but I always leave open the possibility that if something comes to Theo/Jed that they can't pass up, they will do it.

What's going on? Well, it's a team that won 95 games and has one of baseball's highest payrolls. Who said they passed on Harper? We don't know how much $ he will command. Every team has a budget and I trust Theo has a better grasp on all this than you or I. This is where the narrative thing really gets in the way. People have been talking Harper and Cubs for about 2 years but we don't know if any of it had any merit. I also think there is an assumption that you win WS if you get Harper and off-season is total bust if you don't get him. That's not how this works in reality.

I think the park has never looked better since I first saw a game there in 1992. The changes have been amazing and long overdue. Without them, I think the park was on its final breath...
