Of course they'd say they lost it.
Nagy will too. Mitch will too. That's what a team like this will do.
Doesnt mean its correct.

Not sure who you're talking to, but the number 2 overall pick, with nearly two full seasons under his belt, must play better at home against a defense that you said all week sucked and a team that was supposedly afraid to come to Chicago. If the Eagles D was really that bad, the Bears should have put up 30 at home. They were also gifted a couple missed interceptions, including one that was thrown right to the Philly safety.

Here's the catch. Eagles defense doesn't suck. Their front 7 are pretty goddam good. I tried to warn people about knocking out Minnesota last week. Should rest everybody, I said. Much rather have the Queens come in, I said. Eagles won 6 of 7, including Texans and @ the Rams. FF has the only post I've seen to give the Eagles ANY credit. I'll tell you one thing, Saints better hunker down, they're in for a battle.

It’s apparent to anyone with a brain, if your team has the lead and you give up said lead, the loss is on you.

No, the story all week was how important playoff experience is and how it would be the deciding factor in the game. If this was mitch without experience I anxiously await the rest of his career

But you know it’s not linear like that. He might never get closer than this.

Mitch will get closer than this. Even Cutler played in an NFC title game.

I get you're angry. I am too. But damn dude. If youre not looking at special teams as the problem tonight (shitty punt leaving short field and a shitty kicker) before you look at a defense that allowed only 16 (mind you below the bears season leading 17 per game) you're doing this all wrong and I think you'll see that tomorrow.

The problem that usually bedevils young quarterbacks is decision making. His decision making is not that bad. His problem is accuracy. If that's the result of poor technique it can improve, if it's the result of less than stellar hand eye coordination, it's probably never going to get better than this.

Special teams have been bad all year. I’d give them a c today. O’Donnell pinned them deep 2-3 times and Cohen had a return that set up what should have been the game winning drive

Oh, come on. People don't automatically get better with "playoff experience." Football is the same game in the playoffs as it is in the regular season.

I will agree that QB's need experience in general, but Mitch is at the end of his second year. He has had his moments, but he played poorly today. As peeps said, I'm not sure how someone could have watched the game and thought he played particularly well. I'm rooting for the guy, obviously, but he needed to play better today.

Second year but first year in a professional football offense. That matters.

I don’t give a shit how many points they gave up. If they don’t let the Eagles march down the field and score, Parkey is an after thought. It’s the JORR starting pitcher argument. You do what you have to do to win the game in front of you. The D needed to hold them. They were unable to do so. The Bear lost. End of story.

This was a complete team loss. Special teams sucked, offense was mostly bad, and the defense had the game in their hands and choked. The Nagy love needs to stop. His play calling is suspect. He was behind the Chiefs choking last year, and was a part of this choke. I'm sure media like Parkins will continue to kiss his ass, because they have need seen a modern offense in Chicago. What happens when this is a .500 team at best next season?

Just getting a fingertip on it can change the speed/trajectory/rotation of the ball.

Special teams has been a problem all year. But they did not suck tonight. The only issue was the last kick, and it got tipped.

Horrible punt gave the Eagles the ball near the 50.

Well I ain't worried about the packers or the Vikings or the lions. I suppose they can win the division at 9 and 7 or 10 and 6.

Could have helped the trajectory for all we know. Maybe it's WAY left without the two fingers.

Yards ain’t shit. I’m cherry picking stats. I’m all ears to hear your side of the argument that leads with something other than “I think”

No, the story all week was how important playoff experience is and how it would be the deciding factor in the game. If this was mitch without experience I anxiously await the rest of his career

That was exactly the position held by many paid football experts this week.
