Going into the all important year three.

He still kinda sucks. Next year is a big one.

He progressed this year 2 points positive.

I'd say first year he was around a 4, now he's a solid 6 (out of 10). I think he gets better. But maybe his cap is an 8? 8 + experience is still good to get to the SB.

Needs to work on footwork and medium accuracy. 2nd year in the offense should make him more comfortable. Getting a combo runner/receiver at RB would help.

I thought accuracy was his calling card coming out of college. Am I not remembering correctly?

Pretty good. I’m expecting a huge step forward next year

A bear qb was a viable roster holder on fantasy teams. That is a pretty big step already

To put it into perspective he will be drafted behind Josh Allen next year in ADP.

The growth shown in this year got me from a week 1 non-fan to a playoff Tru-fan. He really has progressed. I feel good we have a solid guy going forward... maybe Rivers-esque... maybe better.

People make all sorts of bad decisions on draft day. I mean, of course, other people as I am currently a back to back champion in my league

He improved a lot this year, but he still has a long way to go...

Wow, that’s a bad take. He’s not even close to Rivers.

That’s the way I feel. I also feel that we have the right people in place to assist that growth

He’s fine. Outside of a couple bad throws he looked fine to me. I’m more worried about play calling and not attacking the weakness of a defense.

But I think Nagy will be fine too. This is a good team with a lot of young talent. No need to overreact to this loss.

Mitch did what he needed to do in the 4th quarter for the team to win. Not his fault Parkey is a piece of dog shit.

The rating looks good (94.5) until you realize that's around the league average these days.

Wasn’t there a predictions thread for Mitch prior to the season. I’d be interested to see what people thought would be a good year

They finished the regular season 12-4 and won the North....Mitch was a big part of that. None of us expected that this year. I think we should feel just fine. As TM pointed out he still has a lot of room for growth, but the arrow is def pointing up. This ending sucks....but there is hope. The last few years there was no hope.

Or his fault the defense couldn’t keep the eagles out of the end zone.

I’d like to see the Bears buck the trend of overpaying a mediocre QB after his first contract like Dallas is about to do with Dak and which every team does. Continually reinvest in the position and keep building around it. I have little doubt Nagy will get Mitch paid one way or the other.

Jury still out. I'm hoping he continues to improve. But next year has to be it. By year 3, QB's are what they are.

Not always. Josh McCown blossomed in year 14.

Ya there is no way in hell he is ever going to do that. Rivers read that defense every damn play and called out line changes, route changes and executed it to a very slow perfection. They had 7 or 8 guys up on the line and he had to figure out who the hell was doing what and give assigments while the playclock was winding down. His performance today was awesome. It was like watching a slow moving amoeba eat something to death.
