Parkins said that his guy told him Fangio is the early favorite for the Broncos job and he would be taking Donatell, who's out of contract, with him.

Fuck it.. bring in Rex Ryan. We’ll most likely only get 1 season out of him before his giant ego blows everything up.. but it would be one helluva season. He’d also be a coordinator that the players would like/respect due to his success and reputation.

I just don’t know if the Bear brass would be down

If I was Pace I'd be trying to get Bowles if Fangio leaves

Possibly.

It has to be someone with a reputation imo. You can’t replace a highly respected reputable coordinator with someone that doesn’t have that type of clout. Not that there are zero examples of it working, but I think you need to get a real known and accomplished coordinator in here. That’s why I half jokingly mentioned Rex Ryan

I wasn’t overly impressed with what I saw of him recently with the Packers

Donatell is my 1st choice if Fangio leaves. The Bears need to find a way to be on that.

Wasn't Donatell the Packers D coordinator before Capers that got fired because of the 4th and 26 play in the NFC Championship?

Donatell is my 1st choice if Fangio leaves. The Bears need to find a way to be on that.

If Fangio leaves, Donatell will be his first choice for DC.

What? I thought there was no chance Fangio would be hired? I thought no one hires a defensive coach in the NFL anymore? Especially not one as old as him!

Anyone know who Fangio's OC will be if he snags an HC position?

As long as they run a 3-4 system they should be okay with the same personnel. Obviously they want the best coach they can get. If Fangio goes then they just find the next best available guy.

Everybody seems to think Gase is going to get a HC job.

Broncos blocked a couple of teams from interviewing Gary Kubiak, who holds a front office position with them.

I can't imagine Fangio is the type who would take a HC position with a coordinator (and one with lots of head coaching experience and a close friendship with the GM) being imposed on him.

Bears should be able to get any DC they want. Who wouldn't want to coach a defense with Roquan, Mack, Hicks and the secondary.

That's a shame. Would have made a great HC for the Packers..
