We get Vince on tv tonight and rumors are make some big changes possibly starting tonight to get people to watch more, ratings going bad.

I would have Becky or Charlotte or both on Raw tonight to see Rousey, or maybe have Becky vs Charlotte tonight, winner faces Rousey at Rumble, I know both Smackdown, but give a little juice to Raw.

I think it's time to either give the belt to Stroman or get it off Lesnar, time to have your world champ on tv more, Rollins needs to challenge for it, I think Balor deserves a chance to make a run at it, they've built Drew Mcintyre to get a run at it, that could happen in 2019.

Sounds like on Smackdown side, could be Bryan vs Mysterio program.

Didn't Cody Rhodes say goodbye to ROH? Maybe he comes back to WWE?

He and all of The Elite are rumoured to be starting their own promotion come January with the owner from the Jaguars.

Just wondering if anyone has predictions on wrestling this year, is taking Smackdown to Fox going to be good, who will be a breakout superstar at year end.

2 what could be sad things, do we see Roman Reigns wrestle this year and since everyone says wrestling will be better when Triple H takes over, is Vince Mcmahon still around at this time next year.

We get Hogan on Raw tonight, possibly because Mean Gene Okerlund passed.

I see Kenny Omega is a free agent, do you think he comes to WWE or goes somewhere else.

I don't tune in much, but when I'm working on the road, usually there's not much of interest on the hotel TVs, so I may check out Raw, but not for long. When the Women's division is getting to be more interesting than the Men's division, that's-a no good.

You would think in Trump's America, Vince would be getting at least slightly more edgy (don't make me say "Attitu..."); instead, it keeps maintaining an early-'80s level of recycled kitsch gimmicks with no breakout personalities. Bleh.

what is their tv situation going to be like? You think they can really be a legit competitor to the E?

Well nobody can compete with Vince. That's an entirely different stratosphere.

But I think they can compete with the ROHs and New Japans.

Word is they'll have a syndicated TV deal with Turner, which could be cool if they run it at 6:05 on Saturday.

The Rock's brief face turn between leading the Nation and being the Corporate Champion was awesome. Survivor Series 98 was great and his heel turn was awesome too.

Rock 98 might be the best year long performance ever.

Definitely a random wrestling thought.

No.

 Gotta love Dory Von Erich

Rock didnt even have the best year for a guy in the WWF in 1998. Austin had a better year.

I'd argue 1998 was Mankind's year.

Had the crazy HIAC match, run as corporate Mankind up to Survivor Series where McMahon and Rock screwed him, then the huge night in Worcester where he won the title.

Good point. Rock was at best the 3rd best in the WWF that year

I said "performance" and to me the character is as important as the wrestling.

He was a top heel, top face, and totally different top heel all in the same 12 months.

Its like he played 3 characters in a film.

Austins 97 was better than 98, IMO.

Dory Von Erich's 74 run is often overlooked. His history was mostly wiped when he became the drug dealer for his brothers. His matchup with Gino Hernandez in an apartment is still talked about in wrestling circles.

I don't know. Austin 97 was insane. No taking anything away from his 98 97 was when things really took off.

Both years were great...but 97 set the stage for 98.

I guess it depends how you define it.

To me Austin was coolest when the crowd turned him in 97 and before they were fully pushing him as a face like 98.

98 was great too obviously

Was that his feud with SSa for the intercontinental Belt?

That was 97 I think.

98 Survivor Series was Mankind being groomed as the corporate champion before Rock and McMahon screwed him and Rock went heel again.
