No. The rest of his credentials put him on pace to be a no brainer one. He still needs to produce a few more seasons. Considering the pace he was on before getting hurt this year, his general durability(remember week 1 a couple years ago against the Broncos where he got like 5 concussions in one game and came back the next week fine?) and his team I don’t see that being a big problem going forward.
Edit: no brainer HOFer. Said he was on his way to being first ballot. Clearly not there yet.
I think you are giving him too much credit because of his one season. He has been league average otherwise.
No he hasn’t. Nobody in the history of the entire league has done what he’s done rushing. The best rushing QBs of all time are all going to come up very short of what he does.
When he finishes in the top 15 of all time at any position in rushing TDs and has all his passing credentials to go with it this is going to look like a ridiculous conversation. And that was my main point. He’s on his way to an easy, close to first ballot HOF career. And unlike you tried to imply earlier he’s showing no signs of slowing down. His shoulder injury isn’t serious and he was playing as well as he ever has before week 10.
Lamar Jackson had more rushing TDs this season. If he continues to start, he will rack them up. Will he be HOF caliber just because he runs for TDs as a QB?
