I didn't hear the press conference and didn't see it posted here but Nagy said he talked to Hunt last week. Now he said he talked to him about his personal life, which may be true but I imagine the entire discussion was only due to the Bears interest in his professional life.

It's obvious they are beyond just kicking the tires on him. My guess is Pace has talked to his people and he sent Nagy for follow up. I would think they have broached the topic with ownership and today was a test balloon on pr.

I may be inferring too much but I don't think I am. I would not surprised if he ends up a Bear next season. My hope, if that is true, is that they send him through strict counselling that would continue on through the year and get him some mentorship.

Why is what Hunt did worse then what Chapman did? Just because they have a video of it does not make it worse then someone who has done the same or worse, with no video. Abuse is abuse. How stupid do these media people sound saying, "oh but the video was horrendous. Can not give him a second chance." Then forget how excited they where when Chapman was traded to the Cubs. If you supported Chapman then you can't say no to Hunt.

Make Hunt pay and attend anger management classes. Have him donate a large portion of his check to battered women. Do not shut the door in his face on his first offense. Offer him help and if he then repeats the same pattern, then yes ban him for life.

I'm not sure. I don't know enough about the guy just yet. Are there more incidents that haven't been reported? What kind of guy is he in the locker room? It's one thing to sign the guy, but can the team count on him being available, or is he likely to be suspended again due to a proclivity for violence? Is he another Brandon Marshall? The Bears offense isn't deep enough to absorb availability problems caused by mental illness (Tre Burton) AND criminal behavior (Hunt). And even if he is available for all games next season, Hunt could undermine chemistry on a team known for having a roster full of "high character" guys.
