Also fair to note Damien Williams was a total bust in miami and has replaced Hunt’s production almost completely with KC

Yeah, but Williams was playing under the tutelage of googly-eyed Gase in Miami.

That would be what scares me. Maybe he isn't good enough to warrant the risk?

Kc loved Williams so much he was behind Spencer water all season

Use your eyes, hunt is a much more complete back than Damian Williams

I would want to bring Hunt on board. The sample size is large enough where even in a great offense I believe he proved himself to be a very good player. But the Bears out of most teams don't really need him, and I wouldn't be bothered at all if I was a Bear fan and they didnt sign him. If they don't sign him as a low risk(outside of lame PR backlash) move I don't think they need to make a move at RB.

If Nagy really doesn't think Howard is a fit, bringing Spencer Ware in on a 1 year deal seems just as likely as signing Hunt.

What did your eyes tell you about Williams against the Colts? How about the last couple weeks of the regular season? I'm guessing there's a reason they signed Williams to an extension already.

Hunt is a top 5 RB. No other option would be better unless you get the few RB's who are better. Unfortunately none are free agents and none will cost pennies on the dollar.

Yeah, he would upgrade the roster immensely, something that is crucial for the Bears given their lack of top picks in the 2019 draft. The only question is whether or not he's a sociopath capable of undermining the team at a crucial moment.

It sounds like he was fine in the locker room. He would need to avoid Chicago clubs because MANY would try to take a shot at him in order to get him suspended and make a buck.

He's a top 5 RB and a guy off the street replaced his production without the team missing a beat.

It's an absolute fact that the Chiefs offense has been worse since he was suspended. His production hasn't been replaced.

The Chiefs offense was worse when they tried to fill the role with Ware. When they started going more to Williams they exploded again. Just playing devils advocate.

All offenses have declined league wide since December 1st. It’s a fact his production has been replaced by a guy off the street and the team is still favorites over Tom Brady to make the SB. These are the facts, and they are indisputable.

Ware played well against one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Ravens.

Think of the worst RB you can imagine who is currently on a nfl roster. That guy would do fine in KC’s System.

When Hunt signs, what would be his suspension? Can't really be time served, can it? Since he wasn't employed?

Who is this idiot on with Kap who says the Bears shouldn't sign Hunt because it would make female journalists uncomfortable? Wahhhh, I'm getting paid lots of money to report on a team, but I can't handle being uncomfortable. Wahhhh

Everyone says six games minimum but that sorta just strikes me as a guess.

I'm assuming that you are trolling but let's see if he can also get 200 yards and a touchdown on less than 16 touches against the Patriots too.

You're assuming I am trolling because I am stating facts like Damien Williams was a guy off the street who replaced Kareem Hunt (and Ware) without KC missing a beat and now is an integral part of a KC team who is favored to win the Super Bowl? Fuck outta here with that just because you have no rebuttal. I'm ignoring the second part of your post because looking at one game sample vs one opponent is ridiculous when there is a bigger body of work available to look at.

Btw, you can also see the same thing with CJ Anderson and Gurley. Doesn't mean I wouldn't want Gurley on my team, it just means the system is clearly way more valuable than the player.

I think that just speaks to KC's weapons. They have an MVP at QB and all pros at WR1 and TE. A replacement level RB probably has success because defenses have to pay attention to those other weapons. Hunt may have less success here just because of the drop off in talent, especially at QB.

FF is right, the system is what's really important. Think Denver running backs for many years, Patriots wideouts and backs. Look at this bum who stepped in at Pittsburgh Connor. We don't need Hunt, he's a distraction and he'll be suspended for 10 weeks.. he'll fuck up again too. Draft a 4th round back or 5th rounder..a UFA can fill the void. We need tight end help, that's our biggest weakness.

He would have 1,500 scrimmage yards and 12+ TDs if he started 16 games for KC this year.

He played well against the Colts and Chargers, not just the Raiders. I'm not going to google readily available stats for you, I consider my time just as valuable. It's all easily accessible data if you want to educate yourself on it.

Virginia McCaskey will never let Hunt be a Bear. George is the figurehead and does the running the team and day to day bs. A major decision like this needs her ok. She's the owner. She's still of wonderfully sound mind. She'll never ok it.

He played well against the Colts and Chargers, not just the Raiders. I'm not going to google readily available stats for you, I consider my time just as valuable. It's all easily accessible data if you want to educate yourself on it.

You make a claim about him replacing the production of Hunt but expect me to do the leg work for you?

I don't expect anyone to do the leg work. I thought we were all football fans and know what Williams has done for KC. If you're not and don't, yes I would advise doing the legwork and familiarize yourself with this topic and then come back and rejoin the discussion :D

Who averaged more YPC this year, Williams or Hunt? That can be step one of the much needed leg work.
