I'll reserve judgement til I hear them in action. Theismann is your standard "no one can ever do any wrong" NFL color guy, but Tirico is a very solid play by play man, if unspectacular. I like Kornheiser's PTI work, but I don't know how it will play in an analyst role.

Chris Berman? Are you serious? That bloated blowhole is beyond overexposed. If anything, I want WAY less of him. I thought I was gonna blow a blood vessel listening to that prick during the Sox/ Boston series. His stupid shtick is so outdated. He needs to go back, back, back to the Sportscenter desk, and keep his fat ass there! I know you did say Chris Spiellman, I was just venting some pent-up frustration from Sunday.

Anyone know what caused them to dump Michaels? I though he was a mainstay. Was it his choice to join Madden? they were a pretty entertaining pair.

Quite odd, though, as Michaels first announced that he was staying with ABC and that he and Madden were going to spilit.

The replacement three (TRT) are not very good. I hope so bad that the ratings suffer from pulling this show from free tv.

UTOPIA RANT: All athletes and Entertainers should each make $150K/year, which is enough to make them more than comfortable, and the rest of the money should go toward our National Tax Base. We would have no homeless then and individual income and property taxes would be much lower. This would solve a LOT of attitude problems in both industries.

Michaels begged off when he realized that ESPN wasn't getting a Super Bowl, but NBC was. So, being the egomaniac he is, he weasled his way out. At least that's his story. I can't believe a guy with his saavy and years of experience didn't know the situation going in. Maybe he got NBC to pony up more jack.
