I was a fan as a kid (probably since the Bears were heinous), but have also become apathetic as they haven't been relevant for a long time -- I don't think they've reached the NFC championship game for 22 years, since 1996 (!).

Agreed TO was one of the more memorable of this century, especially for a guy on the losing end of it.

As much as I hate him Brady coming back from 28-3 probably tops this century's list for me.

This tops Young. Last year was pretty good for Brady too.

Nah Brady choked last year on the strip sack. No defense being played by either team so I'm not giving him style points in a game he lost to, and was outplayed by, Nick Foles.

I tend to discount "4th quarter comeback" stats since the QB is at least partly to blame for being behind in the first place, but for sheer theatrics, yes.

I hate them as much as ever if only because the amount of national coverage they get for their lack of success is as annoying to me as just seeing them win all the time.

Its the whole goddamn NFC East.

I hate to admit this but the No Name defense threw a shutout vs. Washington and deserves mention. Almost blown by the weird little kicker.

And what Montana & the Niners did to that buck toothed jackass & his team was more impressive than the '85 Bears. Denver could stop nothing, and mount just as little on offense.

Yeah. I imagine how I feel about the Cowboys is what people feel about Notre Dame.

Fumbled the ball away on the first series, never scored a td. SAD!

The actual offense was so hit or miss that year, the best plan was 11 on Walter. Virtually all 11 Patriots were keyed on him in that first series.

The offense of that team was better than remembered. They were second in the league in offensive scoring. Of course, a lot of that had to do with where the defense gave them the ball and as you say, they were heavily reliant on the running game.

They weren't like the '63 Bears. I remember reading the headline, "Proud Bears Defense Tells Wade to Hold 'Em."

Thankfully, they continued to key on Walter, allowing McMahon to use play action to get some nice gains. McMahon's 2 tds and Perry's td were helped by the Pats' goal line defense expecting a Payton leap into the endzone.

One of my most vivid memories of that game was that fumble and a feeling of dread that somehow they were going to blow it. 10 year old squirrel was already a jaded Chicago fan.

If Walter didn't fumble, Ditka would never have called off the dogs and put the backups in. He would have went for the shutout.
