It would be an interesting segment with George McCaskey if it was 3 guys talking. A lot of the questions were loaded hoping he'd slip up. That's usually Parkins interview style. When a score guy like Wanny is on he's not shit on like that.

I didn't get that at all. I thought it was a good interview.

And you can ask Wanny one question and kick your feet up.

Too bad the Wanny interview was a technical nightmare.

Bill Peterson and I once stood next to each other at a not overly crowded bar on Webster called The Local Option. I was watching some football game and he struck up a conversation with me while waiting for his drink. He got his drink, left and we have never spoken again.

Ask him if he remembers that moment as well.

Local Option is a terrific bar, great rotating tap selection.

A lot of back patting for what sounded like a Danny Mac psych session. Old home week with Peterson and Patrick, and it seems abundantly clear that Boy Wonder Parkins has decided that in lieu of Bernstein's incessant SJW talk he is going to hold on tight to the weed talk as his super important mission doing important radio. He pulls out a thesaurus before every show to find a new word to describe how criminal it is that fill_in_the_blank is worried/testing for pot. If he's not too high himself, he'll correctly cite how many states have no cleared it medically/recreationally to help justify why. he. is. so. correct. <stoner laugh> I mean. seriously.

I swear I've already heard that Dan Patrick knob slobbering interview before, am I wrong? Was he on when he and Terry got back together for a few shows?

I don't know if all of the kudos you're heaping upon yourself, Mac, is more of a shot at your usual apathy or at your producer(s) or both? I did like that you guys were so winded after a tough few hours of talking to buddies that you had to recycle the McCaskey interview mere HOURS after you did it, nice touch.

Truthfully mac that was a great lineup. I missed all but Patrick and Wanny due to a jerk from nicor being a total FUCKhead but i enjoyed what I heard.

Getting comedians on who are in town would be icing on the cake. I don’t understand why any shows on 670 or 1000 don’t do this.

You could talk to Segura for 20 minutes.

It was an ATTEMPT at constructive criticism Bob and keep it comin'. But you fail to humor us with specifics.... like.... WHY was it better? You only said it was "far more superior." Cheryl Burton teach you? ABC7's NYE show in '94, to a patron at club, "whattaya you gonna do to make 1995 mo better?"

Nas, Parkins isn't "hogging" the mic. If I felt he were, we'd discuss it. As he said in the Ask Parkins, distribution of "mic time" in interviews is predicated on interest in topic/association with guest, etc. Often times, especially during interviews with athletes, I have nothing more to ask after four minutes. Danny keeps peppering, extracting words from young, often vapid minds. I've done it to death.

I have ZERO relationship with George McCaskey so that thought came out of nowhere.

With Bill Petersen and Dan Patrick, I was a bit mic hoggy, but I also wanted to include Sparkins so he gets to know some of my guys he admires.

We won't quit waving the flag for reshaping the country's view of weed. 20th century viewpoints regarding IMPORTANT issues need to be quashed. Social justice warrior. Kinda hate that term. When did advocating what is right (in this case, medically, not morally) become a bad thing? A doctor actually e-mailed me the other day, noting he never will be prescribe it, nor educate his patients on its "so-called" benefits. That's fucked up. He took an oath. He's placing his own "values" over what the AMA is suggesting.

I am neither religious nor non-religious, but when those empowered to treat patients are choosing the Bible over science.... it needs to be addressed and we have a forum for it. Fortunately, the NFL stuff with weed gives us an easy on ramp to the conversation.

Lastly, enough with the "stick to sports" stuff. Jimmy D didn't verbalize what he meant particularly well in one of the major stories (salute) was written about station changes in March. What he meant was "stick to the toy department." HE'S the one behind our Rolling Stones plans in June. What he wants omitted, I couldn't agree more, is politics.

The weed issue is not a political one.

The easiest way to omit politics would be to omit a certain weekend and "occoasional" late night host.

I only caught part of GMacs interview.

Did he punt on the Marijuana question? I thought I heard him say that it's going to stay against the rules for players to use. That would be a terrible position to take.

Any chance you could get William Hung or Phyllis Diller on the show?

Is the weed issue considered an SJW thing? I didn't think it was.

I have to say regardless if you are in the medical or recreational camp I don't really need to hear about marijuana all that much. If anything it is sort of preaching to the choir most of the time.

I am very progressive on weed. You guys are too. Good for you. Stop interjecting it in every show. I get you two are trying to be "edgy" for your audience. We get it. It's just overload at this point.

The exchange with Brent in regards to it was a bit uncomfortable. It doesnt need to be brought up in every segment.
