35 years ago today Hogan over Sheik for the title


Whenever I see the clip, it always stands out to me that Sheik played it like he was trying to kick out but couldnt, rather than the usual so beaten down by Hogan the leg hook is barely necessary.

Thank god he never took up Vern's offer to break Hulk's leg.

Ill defer to you. I started in about 1985 after Vince had kinda crushed or was in the process of crushing everyone.

Heck, there's been stories of the territory promoters wanting to hire someone to beat up or kill Vince when he started the WWF expansion in the mid-80s.

My recollection is that, very early in his 'training' - maybe even his first day, Hiro Matsuda broke Hogan's leg on purpose to see if he'd come back and want to stick with it.

RUmble today, sounds like Seth Rollins will win that, and Lesnar will retain, but we will see.

I’ve been gone for a while. Was planning on jumping back in with the Rumble thru mania and see if anything is interesting enough to go thru summerslam.

That is exactly where I am at. I'm trying to get up to speed for tonight's event. I watched RAW 2 weeks ago I think and it heavily featured Lashley.......who is a beyond awful superstar. IDK...I will try to get into it tonight but I think most of the characters now are pretty boring. You have to blend in ring skill with personality and its like no one can do both.
