I gave my mammoth snow-blower to my nephew over summer because it took up too much space in my garage, and now we are left to doing it the old-fashioned way, by hand.

Both methods suck, and I get a cold every time I go out to do this shit, whether by machine or by hand, it seems.

Wish the neighborhood helper kid didn't move away. Man, I had it golden when he used to do this crap for $20. Kid even took checks.

Kid was a fucking loser and almost got kicked out of school a few times for doing some stupid shit, but he sure helped out in the neighborhood a lot.

We're probably a good 3-4 years from my own dudes being able to earn their keep, as my daughter would probably tell me to get fucked if I sent her out there to do it.

I shovel snow faster than anyone. I created a system that's very efficient and I am back inside within 5 minutes regardless of how much snow falls

On a sidewalk push the snow in a straight line (on the left or right side) to the end of your property and then turn it into the grass. Now stand inside the line that you created and face the other snow. If you are right handed stand to the far left and face the snow. If you're left handed stand to the far right and face the snow. Now walk down the line and push the rest of the snow into the grass.

Never owned a snowblower. I’ll use a shovel like god intended. I enjoy shoveling at night. It’s peaceful and quiet and the moonlight shines off the snow and gives me a feeling of serenity. One of the few times I’m at peace in the world.

That's because you're not visualizing what I'm describing. There is no lifting of snow (in most cases), wasted motion or unnecessary walking. I've seen MANY people shovel the snow and I've never seen ANYONE do it the same way.
