A lot of good 90s movies were ruined because of the presence of Jodi Foster or Helen Hunt. Twister was on yesterday; Helen Hunt was manlier than Bill Paxton. It's hard to imagine her in a romantic situation.

You've got a lot of posts in this thread too, questioning Hawk's service, and like FF it is also clear that your questioning is fueled by personal animus, as is your view of me. That's alright with me, but I think you owe Hawk an apology, too.

No it isn't. The first time "Fuck off Frank" threatens to attack you with his Sphinx Shaped Spatula he will be "Reported" within 5 minutes of it!

Exactly. Why do you think Tom Hanks stayed on that island for MANY years?

Jodie Foster has somewhat of a speech impediment. Sorta like Sen. Susan Collins. It's distracting. Helen Hunt's OK by me. She got naked a lot.

She was such a fucking whore in that movie, when he finally gets back and goes to her(Hunt's house)..(four years have passed) did you see how big her kids were on those pictures on the fridge? She literally started fucking a guy the day after his plane crashed, if you do the math.

I can't stand Foster, but she pulled off a decent Appalachian accent, though it was nothing compared to Sissy Spacek's in Coal Miner's Daughter.

Spacek > Foster

So true!

Laura Dern is the palatable 90's version of Helen Hunt.

Hunt just has a weird droopy look to her eyes.

That was a pretty good movie. Was she also in that hockey movie with Rick Moranis, where he kept saying, "Where's the game?"

Okay, Bob. The fucking dopey movie is a religious allegory about faith. I'm sure it's in Seacrest's top ten.

You know it is a bad movie when two people can't agree on which bad ending is actually the bad ending.

The aliens being real but taking on a form that woudnt scare her is bad to you?

Seems ok

It's like that episode where Riker puts some extra forehead on and screws Lillith from Cheers to get out of the First Contact hospital.

What happened in this thread? I am getting the sense that FF has left the board because of what has happened here and we should all have some kind of general knowledge of The Hawk from it. Perhaps he was General Knowledge in Vietnam?

Contact was 65% of a great movie, by the way.

So did FF finally come back to the bored yet?

Is he sending the check by carrier pigeon like Hawk sent his evidence?

Weird, a Known Assclown going off half-cocked about a guy lying on the internet about military service, after repeatedly saying he would apologize if the guy proved his service, is nowhere to be found after the proof is provided.

But he's still here in spirit: Caller Bob is doing his level-best to derail the thread so we forget about FF's transgressions, and IMU is seemingly threatening anyone who dares to point out FF's complete lack of apology to Hawk.

Look, far be it from me to claim I know better than the next guy. But if life has taught me anything, it is to find compassion for myself first, and then seeing the good in others will naturally follow. JLN, you are a quick witted, intelligent, passionate individual who speaks his mind. I admire this about you. Because it is admirable. And these are gifts that are better suited to draw people with common interests together than push them apart. Don't die in that fire of negativity, man. Live. Live in the fire.

PM me if you ever just want to rap, unload, whatever.
