Slapshot never gets old in my book, neither does Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

At least it wasn't Jim Belushi again

He was relatively quiet during the WS. Either he kept a low profile or the cameras were tuned in to Murray only. I did see a few John Cusack shots mixed in.

Saw Groundhog Day for the first time yesterday. I do not understand the appeal.

Saw him in Tootsie and Ghostbusters; do not believe I have seen anything else with him.

No to both. Saw a Youtube clip of him eating a candy bar from a pool - think that is Caddyshack but never saw the movie

Yep - that's Caddyshack. It's worth watching even for Dangerfield alone.

I'll rent it tonight and check it out. Only 35 years late or whatever...

I don't watch many movies - though I did rent Creed last month and then actually went to the theater to watch Creed II.

Here's how little attention I pay to movies -

Was babysitting a kid (five or six at the time). She's running around singing "Oh my god, look at her butt." Asked me if I could play her that song. Now I didn't remember the song title (but I knew that was a line from a song years ago). After asking repeatedly, "Your mother lets you listen to that?" and being told, "Yes, mommy plays it all the time," I looked it up and started playing it. Kid freaked out - "That's not it" and got really upset. Turns out, they put that line in some cartoon...I was clueless. Probably traumatized the kid for life (I know it traumatized my ears).

So I rented Caddyshack this afternoon. Dangerfield was insane. Wasn't really that funny - don't think the humor in it aged as well as Airplane! or The Naked Gun.

Comedy movies, more than any other genre, are a slave to the era.

He's not wrong about Caddyshack. I saw it for the first time when I was a caddy at a private country club in the mid 90's. It was bad then. I can't imagine what it would look like to someone seeing it for the first time now.

I don't really get the fascination with him. He's had his moments. He's an actor like a million other guys. I don't understand the cult aspect. Like why do people wear t-shirts with his face on them?

The Chive had a fascination with him early on and started making the shirts. It's as much about The Chive as Murray I think.

Ghostbusters is lame AF, he's been around for 40 years, he's been in like 5 great things and the rest is garbage. BTW blazing saddles is awful, so is Fletch. And airplane.. pure garbage.

How many bad takes can you squeeze into a single ppst?

4 by my count.

It's impressive.

I wouldn't expect either of you to understand, you grew up on power rangers n sponge Bob. Smh

Those movies are beloved by the older generations.
