Not every fanbase saw their team play in the postseason this year.

Nah. You can't make fun of Kirkwood and then post something ridiculous like that. They were never in a position to beat the Pats.

Another bad comparison by a Packer fan

They were 1 yard away from likely going to OT. The point is they were right there with the Pats and beat the Rams.

They lost by a touchdown to the Pats and were never in a position to take the lead. I get why you guys want to make it sound closer than it was but they didn't almost beat the Pats.

They were 1 yard away from OT. That's a fact. You can try and spin it like it wasn't close, but it was literally 1 yard.

You had Parkey as a kicker. They were a yard away from losing by 1. Congrats.

The Bears offense scored 31 points. The Patriots offense scored 24.

If you think about it the Bears basically won that game. You guys are the best.

They theoretically won the Super Bowl too...

93% on Extra points. 1 yard away from a tie.

The point remains, the Bears are one of like 3-4 teams in the NFL that were capable of beating either Super Bowl team.

Packer fans dont know how to act under the current circumstances (BEARS = very good, Packers= very bad) which is understandable given the recent history.

I think this thread makes it clear that Bears fans are the ones who don't know how to act these days. Your first decent season in a decade and you guys are dying to make it more than what it was. Enjoy your 6-10 season next year with a first place schedule and regression hitting.

I'll take the over. How much would you like to put on it? $100?

Yep. Grieving is a multi-stage process. Right now Packer fans are in the delusional stage.

Like I said, this kind of non sense is understandable.

You'll get more accustomed to it next year and the year after.

Any fanbase crying they would've won XYZ game if they played needs to be ridiculed.

This has zero to do with Packers vs. Bears.

I can't tell if you're just trying to be a meatball today or if you actually don't realize the history of teams that go worst to first the next year. Unlikely the Bears finish over .500 next year.

How many teams are in that history and how recent is it?

The Rams were 4-12 two years ago. So the Bears will lose the Super Bowl next year.

First place schedules dont mean that much when 25 teams are 8-8ish types every season.

win all your home games and sweep the division and you are 11-5.

I guess FF is no longer a big fan of the job Pace and Nagy are doing.

Bernstein says Bears would have won:

Quote:
The Bears already did to Jared Goff pretty much what Bill Belichick and the Patriots did, speeding up his internal clock and making his feet get all weird, forcing four interceptions in their 15-6 win in December. The Bears held Todd Gurley to 28 yards on 11 carries even before he dissolved further into this ineffective version of himself. They took away the primary objectives that Sean McVay's offense wanted to accomplish and exposed the Rams for having no alternate plan, the same thing that we just saw happen in Atlanta.

When the Patriots came to Soldier Field in October, they won 38-31, but the Bears were missing Khalil Mack. Technically, he played, but he was on one functioning leg and remained enough of a non-entity that he sat out the following two games. Not having the services of a top-three NFL defender is a big reason why the Bears surrendered nearly 400 yards of offense, and we presume his return in this theoretical discussion.
