trade for OBJ?

Glazer believes there will be trade talk surrounding OBJ, and he later was asked in a mailbag to offer up a bold prediction for something that will happen this offseason. Glazer went with the Giants trading their star receiver. Just last month, GM Dave Gettleman insisted Beckham would not be dealt, and Gettleman was the one who dolled out the long-term deal to OBJ last summer. Still, Beckham continued to be a thorn in the side of the coaching staff with his off-field chatter and open criticism at times of the play-calling. The Giants were bad with Beckham and could be just as bad without him. If Gettleman gets blown away with an offer, maybe he'd pull the trigger. This is a run-first football team under the current regime.

just for a second... put aside OBJ is just a total bag of a person...

if you added OBJ to the bears offense you'd basically have the lite version of the 2018 KC offense...

mitchell << mahomes
tarik/howard = damian williams
obj<tyreek
ab12 =< watkins
burton << kelce (but burton above average TE)
anthony miller > conley/fat benjamin
o line about equal
run similar if not same offense

which sure as hell on paper would be good enough paired with the current defense. it's too bad that OBJ is a total bag and also that the bears have no good draft picks left to trade.

I assumed the bears are out of assets after the Mack and (ugh) (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky trades.

I think the Giants should be the favorite to win the east next year. They finished the season incredibly strong and certainly looked legit to me. They aren't trading him

Not sure that will happen. Rumor has is that Elway wants a real QB competition in training camp, so he is gonna try and trade for Eli too.
