Interesting race in the back to see who stays for the 500 and who goes home.

Redsick, Ryan Truex and Parker Kligerman.

5 to go.

Harvick is lagging so 2nd and 3rd can't get a run on him.

Duel 1 ovah!

Nice last lap scramble. However Harvick holds off the field.

Parker Kligerman gets IN!

Good showing for Diburrito finishing 4th.

I also did the NASCAR new driver selection quiz, and it assigned me Ryan NEWMAN!

Damn, I'm old.

This is the least excited I have ever been for the Daytona 500. The Clash, 125s, and the Xfinity race were awful with a freight train of cars hugging the wall and the bottom line going nowhere. I'll still watch and set a Draft King team though. Next week in Atlanta is what I am interested in to see how the new package hopefully helps the racing.

I don't need to create an account and do it to find out I am getting Harvick. If there were 20 more like him Nascar would be a hell of alot more watchable. I am still willing to change my allegiance to the first person to walk up to Logano post race, cold cock him and drop him.

It is still a big event. I can only name a few IndyCar drivers, but damn surr I am trying to catch the Indy 500.

There were spinouts and near misses during the practice sessions. How can you blame the drivers, in the rain during the Clash?? Everybody wants to get their primary car to the 500 from the duels. The lack of drivers who have to qualify for the 500 has also toned down the duel races.

And expect today during the 500, a pack of cars heading to the back. Another group trying to run up front, and a third group riding around in the back.

Halfway thru Duel 2.

Bowyer leading a 10 car breakaway.

The cars still look squirrelly in a small pack.

20 to go.

I know Logano wins, can't wait to see how he does it.

Them Ford drivers got it going on here.

Top 5 kinda pulling away from 6th place McMurray.

That may be by design.

I highly doubt they were running their primary car in the Clash. So far, the dominant lane in the 3 Cup races has been the top and whenever cars jump to the bottom, they go backwards. Waltrip and Gordon were speculating that if the sun was out and the track got slick, the bottom lane would develop since the handling would go away. I hope they are right because the racing has been boring AF except for the truck crash fest on Friday.

The rain is what made the Clash a dud.

Logano makes the move with Blaney pushing and takes down the checkered flag for duel 2.

Wow.

Watching pre-race with story about JD Gibbs passing away.

Really sad story. I'm not crying, you're crying.

Looked good in the Clash. Fastest in the last practice. Top 5 average finish in the last 4 Daytona races.

That is like picking Kyle Busch to win today. It just isn't going to happen.

Seasons by Chris Cornell with Rock doing the voiceover.

That is how you do a intro on the Fox telecast.

That is some quality stuff right there.

Shit man. The Fox broadcast is going to replay the JD Gibbs memorium, Chase and Jeff Gordon at FBI driving school, and sit down with Jimmie Johnson.

They just showed all this on the FS1 Raceday show. :| :x
