So it's a one day radio battle of Goff vs. Bernstein.

Goff's long time idol. Now his hated enemy. Who will win the day? Feder should get the numbers for that battle. But Goff's doing Kap's show. Which is white and old. Once they hear a black dude they'll run to Bernstein and McDoink. No way Goff can win the day.

You know, as much as I hate to rain on the Goff is coming back to AM 1000 parade I gotta point out over the last few days I've heard a few ads on SiriusXM sports channels for a daily morning show with Jason "1" Goff and Anthony Herron on Big Ten Radio channel 372. I think it's on from 7am-10am eastern?

Either way, I doubt Goff would turn down a lucrative national gig with a guy who MANY would like the score to hire full-time so he can talk lame Chicago stuff when he's able to talk about his #1 passion in life: Big Ten Athletics!

Goff and Jules would be the worst show in the history of radio. I fully expect it to be a podcast at some point that never gets picked up by a station.

Goff is most funny when he's not trying to be funny. Like this tweet.

1. 2 months after he got fired he was crying about it on Larry's podcast. Of course it hurts. And that's fine. It should hurt.

2. He says he's gotten offers in 3 other cities. But I'm guessing it's for a night shift or or to be pre and post for an NBA team. Which isn't big money. So not worth leaving Chicago when he's got his sirius and ESPN gigs here. Probably the same money as those offers. I'm pretty confident he hasn't gotten any morning or afternoon drive offers. That's where the money is.

I'm minding my own business and driving out in the country southeast of Chapel Hill when the local station swtiches to ESPN and noon and I hear the "GTL" show being driven by one Jason Goff. Paired with a random Texas woman and ESPN MLS twink Taylor Twellman.

Absolutely horrible radio. Goff is driving, and starts off about soccer mom's and dads driving in "this horrible weather across the country.". Both cohosts correct him that the weather is fine where they are, and the soccer twink gets a plug in for the TV coverage of the MLS opener. Jason shrugs it off and launches into how excited veverybody is about the combine, and I PTFB and turned the radio off.

If Jason Goff is doing so good why did he state on a show last week he had to move? Sounds like he downgraded. Next stop -Peoria

Man, Goff really needs to get off of social media. I follow twitter, but never comment(I am a nobody, like to get sport takes during games, find it interesting and funny at the same time).

He just tweeted about his 1 year anniversary and how he was depressed during the time, basically looking for people to tell him how great he is.

I feel sorry for him, really found him very good as a producer, but not a host. I honestly don't get why people who are athletes or get political tweet. There is no good that comes from it.

People like Silvy are great for twitter. Lives and dies with you in Cubs/Bears games. But the whole self righteous my side is better(both sides do it, Clay Travis has his side, on a local level Bernstein has his side). What do you accomplish. Neither side is "waking" people on other sides up.

Anyway, I wish Jason well. He can obviously do whatever he wants, but him and most famous( local or national) people should delete social media.

Goff is still cocky and arrogant, after screwing up a dream job.

One thing I think about with Goff when he teamed with Bernsie is he changed. No idea if that or his previous more likable personality was the true him but I didn't care for the last one. Seems to me he felt he could take the cue from Bernsie and Boers and treat callers in less that great fashion and have a bunch of strong societal takes. Never more clear than his if you don't like it change the station.

That he seems to be still angry makes me wonder why a guy like Bernsie that built the monster never took the time after to show him how and why it went wrong. Bernsie really just pretended all those years Goff was like a little brother.
