Bring up guys from Charlotte. They can fail to get guys in from 3rd base with less than 2 outs just as easily as the rest of the offense did this series.

This is the kind of series that can start a major slide. It also could be a series that if they finish 2 games out at the end of the year where we look back and think....shit, they lost 3 of 4 to Tampa when Tampa was playing well.

Tampa's going to be playing well all season. That team is going to be an 85+ win team.

I'd like to see the Sox beat a good team sometime, especially on the road. They've handled Cleveland well, which is good, but my memory tells me they've struggled against the better teams in the AL. They'll have to show that they can beat some of those teams.

I also don't really have much hope that the offense will get a whole lot better. We've been waiting for the offense to turn it around for a year and a half now- after a while, you just have to conclude that it's going to be a mediocre offense. That might be enough though if the pitching holds up.

They did beat the Rays on the road in a series already. The last team to win a series against the Rays at home.

You're right, I remember that. They won two out of three earlier. Why have they had to go to Tampa twice in the first two months?

Thank goodness for Cleveland's mediocrity, but I'm afraid that they can reel off 6 or 7 in a row at any time.

Check your facts, they have held their own against the Angels and took 2 of 3 against Tampa. They have not played Boston. I think they have the 4th best record in the AL.

They're 3-4 against both the Rays and the Angels. That's not horrible, but it's not very good either. I'd just like to see them make a move against a decent team. They're June schedule doesn't look too hard though, so that's good.
