If Fields hits .250 with some homers that's better than Thome. Maybe not now but if Thome struggles for another month than you do it.

Thome is just old. Natural regression.

Plus, he has 10 homers. He's on pace to hit 30. It's different than Swisher. Thome just can't catch up to the fastball anymore. That's what happens when you get old. He still has power when he guesses and cheats on a fast ball.

Swisher can still catch up to a fastball. He just can't hit it hard or square it up.
