The #Bears have decided to release K Cody Parkey at the start of the league year, sources say. A fresh start is welcomed by both parties, and the Pro Bowler will likely find work quickly. He’s still due $3.5M guaranteed on his 2019 contract

Whatever you think about his prowess as a kicker, this had to happen. He wasn't solely responsible for that loss, but I still don't want to see him again.

There's been plenty of losses that have happened in this town over the years, but never was there a time I felt more certain that a player -HAD- to go. If they surrendered their third round pick to cut him, I think at least 50% of the fanbase would have been OK with it. Never a chance he could turn the city around on him. He would be booed every time he took the field... even if he went 20 for 20 to start the season, there would be major boos.
