pizza_Place: Suparosa on Central between Irving and Montrose. Forget about the rest!!!
Where do go for great wings? I enjoy Sutherlands on Irving Pk right across from Portage Park. 50 cent wings on Wednesday and the place is always packed.

You know where I had some really good wings about a year ago? The Fifty/50 had really good wings and they were really niced sized. I need to go back soon and get some more.

Mickey Finn's, Morgan's and Frank's For The Memories are all great. That's Libertyville/Mundelein area.

I haven’t tried yet but some people are saying these air dryers make their wings great.

I am big fan of Korean Chicken wings which are double fried with potato starch instead of white flour(like American wings) which makes them extra crispy.

These are some of the best places to get Korean Chicken Wings:

Great Sea Restaurant -- lollipop chicken wings with sweet and spicy sauce
3254 W Lawrence Ave
Chicago, IL 60625
https://www.greatsearestaurant.com/

Landbirds
2532 N California Ave
Chicago, IL 60647
https://www.yelp.com/biz/landbirds-chicago

Crisp
2940 N Broadway Ave
Chicago, IL 60657

No Problem... let me know if you get a chance to try any of the above... Also a tip, don't get the super spicy ones but get the regular/medium heat as the spicy ones are one note with too much heat and little flavor.

Another place I get Korean Fried Chicken wings from occasionally which is only $10 a full round container is from the Korean Grocery store Joong Boo Market in both Chicago and Glenview. Only thing is its best to get it when its freshly made or else they may be cold / room temp and need to be reheated at home. Also they sometimes run out and will not make a fresh batch till the next day.

Joong Boo Market
--Chicago
3333 N Kimball Ave,
Chicago, IL 60618

--Glenview
670 Milwaukee Ave,
Glenview, IL 60025

Yeah, I've said it before but Franks For The Memories has consistently had the tastiest and meatiest wings I've had in my life. People that own it are
from Buffalo originally. Wish we had a good wings place up here in Kenosha. Wing Stop and BW3's just doesn't cut it.

Never been a big wing guy. Too much work for too little meat. Ribs are the same way. About twice a year, I get a good craving for each and as soon as I have a few bites I remember why I don't order them more often.

Sometimes I feel the same Frank. Many places out here make the full size chicken wings in the usual Buffalo way and those are good. Also, sometimes to be different I will get a bunch of drum sticks and make them that way instead.

Right there with you Frank.

Ribs and wings are too expensive and generally hit or miss, even at places that specialize in them. I only ever get ribs from dedicated rib joints. Wings should only be made with jumbo wings, otherwise there's no meat. They're almost up there with blue crab as far as lack of bang for the buck.

Mickey Finn's wings are pretty terrible. Honestly everything they do is mediocre to awful. The Curraugh has very good wings at both of the locations I have gone that are still open. That's for standard bar wings.

Lucky Monk used to have excellent smoked wings. I have not been for awhile. Smoke Daddy on Division also has very good smoked wings.

Cluckers in Highwood also makes very good wings.

I will say about Finn's, when they first expanded into a brewery, their wings were jumbo and excellent. They don't use the jumbos any more, so they're not what they once were...terrible they are not.

Tallest Midget will disagree but I think Buffalo Joes in Evanston and ROgers Park are still the best I have ever tasted. The sauce is so hot and buttery its like no other I've ever tasted

Frank, sometimes you have a thought that is right on the mark. Add lobster to that list as well

This, and it's not even close.

Mickey Finn's is completely overrated as far as everything they do.

Finn's chicken chopped salad has always been solid.

Their burgers and wings may have tailed off over the years, but are still very good.

I don't know what else they are over rated for...their beer for sure...and their service has always sucked ass. I do like Brian, the owner.

Guess I'll have to get some O'toole's wings see what the hype is all about.

I've met Brian and I know a few guys that work there....good people and I like the place. I'm just saying O'Toole's food is really really really good and their wings are about as good as I've ever had.

Go to the O'Toole's in Gurnee...better setup.

Mickie Finn's has gotten pretty bad recently. The food is just poor quality. The wing taste like the cheapest possible hormone laden chicken you can find. Their food is barely above fast food quality now. They have a nice set-up that can accommodate large groups, and a play area so kids can go their while their parents drink. That's why it remains popular. None of their in-house beers are that great either.

O'Toole's has better quality food, but it's usually pretty bland. You get better wings at Oscar Lee's btw. That place is really solid. I've never had anything there that wasn't solid.

I get that ribs are often not cooked properly and/or too expensive, but I took Frank's post to mean he just doesn't like even good ribs, which is pure insanity.

I don't get this...other than being messy, wings are pretty easy to eat.

Agreed. Good ribs are worth the effort.

I like ribs and I like wings. They are just too much damn work. You are left with a pile of bones and 6oz of meat. I'd much rather have pulled pork/chicken or brisket or something.
