At the age of 34, Jordan was still winning championships, while it looks like Lebron won't even be able to get his team into an 8th seed. Furthermore, it's clearly evident that Lebron feasted on a notoriously weak ass Eastern conference for the majority of his career.

I think we all knew from the day he went to Los Angeles that he had surrendered his killer instinct (if he had it at all) and started his third act as a guy who still plays hard enough but is most concerned with hanging out, being cool, and pretending to be a businessman. The only argument was whether this was bad or Actually Good.

Imo no.. he was always a huge fish in a small pond in the weakened East. He wouldn't win the East this year in Cleveland.. he'd make the playoffs n lose to Milwaukee, Boston, Toronto or Philly. I thought he'd be an 8 seed this year in west.. he's a great player, top 5 all time.. bottom 5 GM but better than Kobe and not quite Mike. My opinyhasnt changed at all.

Disagree.. he thought he could get Paul George , KD, Unibrow, Kyrie etc. Nobody wants to play with that selfish flopping bitch.

Better than Kobe? Get the fuck out of here...at 34 Kobe still had his team in the Semi's in a tough West. With nobody, just a soft ass Gasol and Bynum.

I'm getting picked up in 20 minutes n haven't showered yet so I gotta be brief, Kobe couldn't get out of the first round when Shaq left.. he wasn't shit til gasol showed up. He's a selfish chucker who never made teammates better.

Kobe better the LBJ. Killer instinct matters like MJ and they would never go begging and slumming for Wade.

I always believed that the guys he played with were better than they were ever given credit for. This helps validate it.

As one of the big LeBron supporters on the board I have to say IMO it’s a bad chapter in his book. This season doesn’t tarnish his whole legacy, but there is def some narcissism on display this year. I do have to say tho, I am impressed it took this long for his ego to spill out like this. Most humans wouldn’t have been able to control their egos from the time they were 16 through their 20s like he did.

Don't if you caught it last night but there was an interesting exchange between he and Giannis last night. Giannis fouled him and James started talking shit shortly thereafter. It looked he was trying to let him know that yeah I'm still the guy.

I wondered why he would make it personal then I remembered that Giannis dissed him last summer.
Lebron wanted him to do the kiss the ring workout thing that guys like George and Durant among others, have done with him over the years and Giannis said no. Told Lebron that he viewed him as n opponent and didn't feel comfortable fraternizing with him like that. Know that had to be a blow to his massive ego.

I didn’t see that, but good for Giannis.

Yes. There can be no more GOAT arguments if he misses the playoffs in his prime.

Won't Deadspin just say that missing the playoffs means he's out of his prime and safely into "hanging-out-doing-whatever" territory?

Probably but he's 34 years old and has showed signs of taking over a game when he actually wants to this year. It's the tail end of it, but it's not really debatable that he's still in his prime. There's zero excuse to miss the playoffs over the upstart Kings and the not-even-trying-to-make-the-playoffs Clippers.

My favorite was him and Wade mocking Dirk having a legit flu on camera and then Dirk proceeding to end their shit the next night

Jordan was 40 for all of the last two months of his career.

LeBron has already played more regular season and playoff games than M Jeff.

But don't let the truth get in the way of your narrative.

But he’s 34 and the league was worlds different when MJ came in.

If you are comparing Washington MJ with 2019 LeBron I won’t argue much, but that’s is damning in every way towards LeBron. It’s far from a justification.

It has been tarnished for quite awhile...but this is the final nail in the coffin.

I don't mind being a torch bearer for Mr. James.

Considering Lebron has not finished his career, I think it is unfair to compare his career to Jordan's.
