In one of the parody lemon threads from last week, there was a mention of The Lemon Joke Kid from Bill Jackson's Dirty Dragon Show.

I emailed Bill to confirm the exact name of the character and here is his response...

"The Lemon Drop Kid" was a character played by Bob Hope.  The character you remember was the "Lemon Joke Kid".  And actually, Weird was not the Lemon Joke Kid.  The Kid was Weird's look-a-like cousin, Strange.  I'm delighted that you remember the LJK.  We had fun, didn't we?"

Indeed we did, Bill.

I loved that show and watched it religiously.

Bill donated all the original puppets to the Chicago Broadcast Museum.

He is retired now and living in California. He's a terrific guy.

That is cool. I also loved DD show. At one point I think I was afraid of the character that was sort of like the Star Wars emperor.

In the pic above, he is the one in the back right corner behind the tree. His name was "Dr. Doompuss"... By the way, that would make a great mult.
