That's nice of you to say, but I really do not know much about hockey. I wasn't raised on it and have only attended maybe 10 games in my life. The only hockey games I've seen in person were in Pittsburgh (among them Mario's 8 point game vs. the Blues and a couple of playoff games vs. the Flyers in the 80s). I hope next year will be the year I finally get to a Black Hawks game. I've watched enough games to know a little, but I learn a lot just by reading what you guys have to say. I have attended a few playoff hockey games, though, and that taught me one irrefutable truth: When it comes to attending a sporting event, THERE IS NOTHING THAT COMPARES TO PLAYOFF HOCKEY.

And hopefully the people of Chicago will get to see that first-hand this time next year.

Pittsburgh played awesome in the 2nd. I thought the Wings had several chances in the 1st where they couldnt get it in the net. Pitt controlled most of the 2nd but towards the end Detroit seemed to control things, it seems likes the Wings got the momentum going into the 3rd. Both goalies, especially Osgood, I think are playing awesome. Both teams seem to be playing good defense.

The Pens need a new equipment manager.

Pretty good game. Both teams are playing hard.

Over time.

How many times do I have to beat my chest and scream to the troglodytes about how great the National Hockey League Playoffs are?!?

For God's sake, Malone takes a slap shot in the face, puts a cotton swab in his nose, and comes back to play!

I say Franzen, 4:32 into the 1st overtime.

I know. I saw that guy take the puck off his nose. He just glided to the bench.

When basketball players sprain an ankle they squirm on the floor for 5 minutes and need 3 people to help them to the bench

It'd be a miracle if the Pens won. The entire OT has been played in front of Fleury it seems. I dont even think the Pens have a shot on goal in OT yet.

Yes, but many times I have seen one team dominate an overtime, then BANG!, the other team gets a lucky break and scores.

Yeah. The old saying is true, there is definitely nothing better than playoff hockey. Gotta respect these guys. Fleury's having a helluva OT.

What a great game so far. I'll admit I didnt tune in till the OT, but that was a fantastic OT period. Pitt's D seems pretty weak, but Fleury was awesome. The Wings had several clear shots at him, and had him vulnerable a few times and it didnt matter. Pens seem to need to do a better job of clearing the puck on those rebounds.

Fantastic game. I cant believe Im saying this but Im a bit annoyed I cant watch the Cubs game. They've been great lately and fun to watch and I figured the timing lined up relatively well, but definitely sticking with the hockey game till its over.

Everybody here is rooting for the Pens except for Slappy right?

I don't follow hockey much but everybody said the Pens can't win this series so I'm rooting for them.

I know this. Win or lose the Pens goalie has played one of the greatest games in Stanley Cup history. Gotta be right?

Im definitely rooting for the Pens. Fleury is showing alot of heart, and I really like Sidney Crosby from everything I have seen on and off the ice from him.

As much as I hate them, red wings dont deserve to be on this penalty kill.

Im no soothsayer, but I think the red wings get a power play and score on it.

I have water bottles a bench and a skate sharpner in the hall of fame room and a giant Red Wing logo on my floor. The mouth piece gives the full effect.

My wife drives the zamboni around the block during periods. The games periods, not hers.

What's the most OTs for a Stanley Cup Finals?

I think I remember as a kid one of them went 4 or 5 OTs. I think the game ended at 1am.

Just for the cup finals? I think the Stars game won by a brett hull "kicked" goal. I think that was only 3 OT. Stink knows best though.

I am a Sox fan, hence the "I cant believe Im saying this" preface. I've come to enjoy good baseball, and the Cubs play good baseball. But Im still without hesitation sticking with the triple OT hockey game. Plus the 9-10 beers Im working on now make both alot more entertaining.

The longest game in the finals in the modern era was indeed the Hull game. It went about 15 minutes deep into the third. Buffalo fans still think it should have gone longer.

Longest ever in the modern era was Pens/Flyers, which went 5OT, Keith Primeau scored the game winner. I watched that ENTIRE game and fell asleep 2 minutes before the winner.

I love how you all are calling game winners. My good friends, and some board members already know this, but as soon as ANY playoff game goes into OT, we play a beer bet of getting to pick one guy from each team who gets the game winner.

I've got Malone and Zetterberg.
