Channel 5 news is pissed. All local news across the country is pissed. They have to wait for this to end.

Hey, if Paula Farris is doing sports tonight send her home. She needs her beauty rest. Make Warner Saunders do the sports.

The longest game in the finals in the modern era was indeed the Hull game. It went about 15 minutes deep into the third. Buffalo fans still think it should have gone longer.

Longest ever in the modern era was Pens/Flyers, which went 5OT, Keith Primeau scored the game winner. I watched that ENTIRE game and fell asleep 2 minutes before the winner.

I love how you all are calling game winners. My good friends, and some board members already know this, but as soon as ANY playoff game goes into OT, we play a beer bet of getting to pick one guy from each team who gets the game winner.

I've got Malone and Zetterberg.

Crap, forget to send those. Ruutu and Ericsson if its not too late.

This is good for the city of Detroit if they win it tonight. The people will be too tired to murder and burn the city.

They'll get a good night rest and wake up tomorrow to murder and burn down the city. Deroit never misses that chance.

Bud Light. Always worth it.

I'd like to add the Pens are my heroes also tonight, specifically Marc Andre Fleury. This has been a very damn entertaining OT's.

My older cousins have forever tarnished my view of beer. Bud Light will probably always be my favorite reasonably priced beer. I just cracked open the 24'er tonight so by my count Im opening my thirteenth now. This hockey game is incredibly entertaining. For a sport I follow often, I have the utmost respect for hockey players.

Nothing like talking hockey, Seinfeld, and Law and Order while drinky on a Monday night.

Pens with a bleeder and a 4 minute PP. They need to take advantage of this with how worn out they look otherwise.

Um they just won, and the dude that scored called it one or two OTs back. Im happy as hell the Pens won this game.

Now Fluery's game stands out more with the win. You guys tell me where this ranks.

I guess Stink will have an answer.

Reason #2,761 I love sports: I have absolutely no allegiance to the Pens or NHL in general and I have been watching and rooting for crazy like the Pens for the past two hours.

hell yeah man. that is the one thing you just can't get someone to believe unless they experience it too...when you can be as enthralled as we were tonight about two teams in a sport that we are not overtly passionate about, THAT'S what a sports fan is all about...

Fleury was excellent, but not even in the team photo of all-time performances. The clinic put on by Turco and Nabokov earlier this playoff year was a superior performance.

Babe Sykora calling his shot is an all-timer story-wise, though. Neck and neck with Owen Nolan picking his corner on Hasek in the All-Star game.

The Penguins need to come out flying (if you'll pardon the expression) on Wednesday. Detroit does not take losing lightly, put it looks like the Penguins finally started to get some pressure by playing a dump-and-chase game to counter the Wings' possession game, and that's always the style that the Wings have trouble with. Get the puck in deep, win the race or punish the D. Works every tiiiime </Billy Dee>

I absolutely cant wait for Game 6. I feel like only Stink is anticipating it more than I am. Fleury is my new sports man crush untill the playoffs are over.

I hope that's the first, last, and only Flying V reference in this section.

Besides, everyone knows the best line in The Mighty Ducks is as follows:

Officer: Breath, blood, or urine?
Gordon Bombay: No thanks, I'm full.

Funny, but I actually made the reference half because I figured you would get annoyed by it. The 3(sorry not a joke) die hard hockey fans I know hate when I reference that movie.

I too hate any reference, unless Mike Modano is mentioned.

Referencing the movie is fine, for some reason we all just hate a reference to that portion of it.

Question for Stink: Do you get annoyed by non-NHL fans that start following and commenting on the Stanley Cup Finals mainly because of the dream NHL matchup? I ask because I feel like I will get annoyed with people who comment on the upcoming Lakers/Celtics Finals, yet part of me will also be happy that more attention is payed to the sport I love.
