I read Magary's Funbag, though it gets worse every year, and his Jamboroo column. That's about it.

Most of their Barstool articles are boring as shit and say the same thing every time.

I went from daily clicks and article reading to maybe browsing a potentially interesting post until the pretentiousness overwhelms me. It’s usually like the second sentence.

it used to be a daily read. but its basic premise today is that everything in sports is bad and you should feel bad for supporting sports at all.

i watched the first 15 seconds of a recent video of the transgender writer and some other guy reading the backs of old minor league baseball cards.... but i couldnt stick around until it became funny or interesting.

PMT is the only thing to listen to and at times is the best right now for sports media/entertainment.

Someone said it right, deadpsin is just awful and jumped the shark a few years ago. Don't know of anyone who reads it anymore. Nothing funny about it.

How can anything valued at more than $100M be fringe? I get that they are not major media but they have their niche. IDK I have never partaken so maybe they are fringe but I was under the impression that the future of media was going to be these smallish fractured sources.

Chernin still owns 36% after this sale, the same % now owned by Penn.

The remaining 28% is owned by Pres and other employees.

So with this deal, Chernin made back far more money than they invested in Barstool while still retaining 36% of a rapidly growing brand.
