One thing I think about with Goff when he teamed with Bernsie is he changed. No idea if that or his previous more likable personality was the true him but I didn't care for the last one. Seems to me he felt he could take the cue from Bernsie and Boers and treat callers in less that great fashion and have a bunch of strong societal takes. Never more clear than his if you don't like it change the station.

That he seems to be still angry makes me wonder why a guy like Bernsie that built the monster never took the time after to show him how and why it went wrong. Bernsie really just pretended all those years Goff was like a little brother.

Heard some of Goff and Holmes doing IHSA basketball. He was pretty awful as a radio host but I thought he was really good as a high school basketball color man. Not sure what the market is for this but I thought these two were very good. I think ultimately Larry is better than high school but this is just about the peak for Goff. I actually admire Goff's work ethic. Knowing people who have been in radio, unless you "make it big," and I mean national big, the pay in radio is really bad. I mean really bad.
