rough game for Trae, proves he's human. Awful start, 2 pts on 1/10 shooting in the first half. second half he picked it up and went 7/14 and added 20 pts to the 2 from the first.

There are a multitude of tricks and dirty play to improve one's defense. Once a player decides to take pride at that end, improvement is bound to happen.

I like his passing. I think he can be a Rubio type, a serviceable point guard in this league.

Great comparison. In 8 seasons in the NBA Rubio has shot as well as Trae has shot this year exactly one time. His career high is something like 34 points. Trae nearly hit 50 last week.



So last year did you have DeAaron fox as a bust? You must've since he shot worse than Trae and didn't have nearly the assists that Trae has had this year.

Fox didn't play much defense last year. But, you fell right in the trap. When Trae-haters got nothing they resort to bashing a rookie PG for playing bad defense.

He might be the worst defensive guard that I have ever seen. He is that bad. His decision making isn't the best either. Not just shot selection either. He also avg 4 turnovers a game. That's way too many for a guy that only avg 7.8 assists per game. Elite points with terrible shooting percentages and bad defense can't also avg 4 TOs per game.

Trae was on his way to one of the best games of his career, but Coach called off the dogs and pulled him with 8 minutes left in the 4th and the Hawks up about 1000 on Memphis.

Finished with 22 points on 8/12 shooting, 8 assists and 0 turnovers.


Was hoping the coach would leave him in there longer since they were playing their only game in a span of 5 days and Trae was coming off a few off games, but I get it. Not a good look to run up the score when you're up that much.

Not if he hits floaters. He can get them anytime he wants. That's the thing about him. 1 guy can't stop him from getting in the lane. The proof is there, and it's proven he's quite comfortable down there and there's proof he can do real damage both with the pass and the floater.
