Yep, read it years ago. It was really good at first and then kinda fizzled towards the end of the run, but it was pretty long run so lots of material in there to choose from. It was already supposed to be made into a show years ago, but the deal fell through for some reason.

has anyone watched "The Innocent Man"? its another of the Making a Murderer clones that come out regularly on Netflix. It is pretty interesting, and once again highlights how many stupid people populate our planet and get in trouble in unthinkably ridiculous and unimaginably idiotic ways. I am sure Oklahoma is a wonderful place with lots of wonderful people, but I am doubting this movie was sponsored by the local department of tourism. WTF

Started last night. It's good and depressing. The cops are like a slower version of CPD. I used to have extended relatives in and or around Ada. Education clearly wasn't a priority.

The Ted Bundy Tapes is a damn-good documentary. Loved the footage from the 70s and 80s.

The last two Netflix series I watched were Maniac and Umbrella Academy. Both were very good, and it’s very obvious the budget for UA means Netflix is serious about developing their own superhero content using other publishers besides Marvel.

Watched Love, Death, + Robots.

Quick 10-15 minute episodes, mostly all different forms of animation, of the weirdest fucking storylines.

I think I'm about halfway through them and it's wild.

I watched Triple Frontier over the weekend. Decent movie but wow is Afleck a fatass.

I like Ozark. Just finished season 2. Highly recommend it. My sister says season 3 starts in 3 months.

There's no reason to get Showtime or HBO with Netflix around. Plenty of good shows here to entertain you. And there is only so much time to watch stuff anyway. So even if there is good stuff on those other networks, doesn't matter. Anything on Netflix will be equal or better to what they got.

Showtime is hot garbage but you usually get it with your HBO package because they are owned by the same company. HBO has a lot of very solid programming. Netflix has a lot of stuff to watch but I have found that it is the old 80/20 rule where 80% is bad and the other 20% is good to very good.
HBO has it's crap on there as well but with their current stuff and their older catalog that you can watch on HBO GO it is great.

Started watching Hap and Leonard last night. Pretty damn good through 4 episodes. Michael Williams basically plays a 1980's rural texas version of Omar Little and it's great.

Re-watching Dexter from since the original airing. Season 4 may be the best 1 year of any series ever. Funny thing is, the rest of the seasons are mediocre.

The Highwaymen is a fine film. Costner and Woody Harrelson play Hamer and Gault, the guys that took down Bonnie and Clyde.

Strong plot line. They had the ending and worked backwards beautifully. And Lithgow was an ace. Everything after that "perfect season" was just jerking off.

They could have (and probably should have, in retrospect) ended the show after S4; it certainly would have been a better wrap than that abortion of the final season.

I'll get to season 2 sometime because I thought it was a very thoughtful show by bright writers.

Not a big nature documentary guy but I enjoyed the 8 part Our Planet series. I would say I could have done without the constant lecturing on climate change, but I realize that was sort of the entire point of making the series.
