Imo it’s a good signing if you need a RB. I can’t figure out why the Bears think they need a RB tho.

I hope GB gives them like a 6th rounder for Howard

I like the possibilities of this IF he stays healthy.

Replacement for Mizzell or Cunningham, right? No way they are thinking this dude replaces Howard

He's a better fit for what Nagy wants to do.

Howard can't do this...http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-high ... r-44-yards

He's got the talent, if he's healthy for 12 regular season games and healthy for post season.. were gonna win the NFC.

He's not Howard's replacement. He is Cunningham's replacement. Cunningham had already been supplanted by Mizzel, for what reason I don't know. The guy is a big back who can catch well and play special teams. He seems like a good third down option to me.

The Bears are paying $3 million/yr to a fourth-string running back?

Hopefully third string. Really though, he is a third down back. This is not my guy. I would have been much more interested in Spencer Ware.

Hell, the Jets paid that to a 5th WR. Strange world.

Seems like the prevailing assumption is that Davis will be the starter next season.

That is what Mully is saying. That is a mistake if true, although I think that would mean that Howard is gone, they draft a RB and the RB position is really just a committee.

Greg Gabriel said the same thing. If true, I'm puzzled.

I doubt Mike Davis is the starter, and if they don't make another RB move either in FA or draft he still won't be the most important back on the roster. That will be Cohen. Let's not get too worked up.

I agree that Cohen would have to be placed ahead of Davis on the depth chart. Not sure why Mully, Gabriel, Haugh and others seem to think otherwise.

Bears like the flexibility of being able to move Cohen from RB to Left Tackle if need be.

I do not get the reason for this guy's presence on the roster. Monty is better in basically every way (with the exception of blocking) and there's already Cohen and Patterson out there to change the pace up.

Pretty much at the point where I'm more interested in what Kerryth White can do with two or three touches a game.
