Mack agreed to move money around. He isn't doing that to sign chumps and Bears aren't asking him to do it in a vacuum.

I think we have a bold move about to happen.

$11M freed up? so this move essentially hurts future years but frees up money right now?

Don't know how they would afford him, regardless of how many contracts are restructured. Plus, fuck him...he's a cancer. Would rather have had a guy like Hunt, who might knock around some civilians but doesn't screwover his teammates.

Kind of agree but I think that's where they're heading.

Unless they're gonna make a move for OBJ.

Is that why they went for a cheaper and shittier replacement for Callahan? Also, if it's Bell why sign another back for $6 million when you have cheaper options under contract?

such a bag... but an incredible talent. his gamebreaking speed would put this offense in a position to be a top 5 offense. frankly, a dynamic WR to pair with the solid/consistent AROB is what this offense currently most needs.... but they dont have the draft capital to acquire OBJ

I don't think they have the money, even with this move, to acquire Bell.

Remaining FA's at WR are pretty meh... outside of golden tate but he's 30 and anthony miller looks to be a promising (and cheaper) option in the slot.

If they're losing Amos and Callahan, isn't a defensive signing most likely?

I can't believe Randall Cobb is only 28. Feels like he's been in the league for 15 years and got washed up 3-4 years ago.

C'mon now. You expect Steve Gleason to just walk thru the doors at Halas Hall?

With the kick return game sucking dick last year and an open spot with Bellamy leaving, why not Cordelle Patterson?

I haven't seen anyone reporting this but I really believe Bush is ready to move to a starting job. I liked what he did at the end of the season without Jackson and feel he could handle SS duties back there.

I would also wait in FA and sign a veteran to back him up just in case.

That doesn't seem like much cap space, after ya sign our draft picks and a few undrafted free agents..what's left of that money?

The Mack deal/restructure will give them north of 25 million in cap space.
